All fans of iron sports probably know such a name as Branch Warren. This is a real man who is carved out of granite. His physique is envied by many professionals.
Branch (real name William) was born in February 1975 in Texas. He is now a professional bodybuilder in the IFBB Federation. From colleagues in the workshop, the athlete received the nickname "Quadrosaurus". We think everyone understands why.
From childhood Branch Warren was very fond of American football. And this is not surprising, because his father was a famous football player. Therefore, until the age of 14, the future bodybuilder was fond of football. But over time, the passion for football began to supplant the love of iron. Once a boy saw a photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of the fitness magazines - and football was over. Brunch longed to be like the legendary bodybuilder.
At age 15, Branch Warren moved with his family to Dallas. In this city, it was much easier to fulfill the boy’s dream. But bodybuilding required money, and Warren didn't have it. But this did not stop the future celebrity. The boy resorted to tricks. He turned to a friend who had no financial problems. When he came into the hall, he went to the back door and let in Branch.
Soon, one of the visitors to the gym noticed the guys training incorrectly and taught them the basics of bodybuilding, and then moved with them to the legendary Metroflex gym. There Branch began to progress rapidly. The reason for this was the mentorship of Ronnie Coleman. Quite a well-known fact - a beginner athlete under the guidance of a coach will overtake other athletes in training for 3-4 years without a mentor.
In 1992, the Branch Warren, whose photo is attached to the article, won the first victory in the tournament "Mr. America" among teenagers. The young athlete was only 17 years old. A year later, Warren won the National Championship. This victory is particularly noteworthy in that he then beat Jay Cutler. Although, of course, Jay achieved recognition and popularity in bodybuilding much earlier than Branch. He succeeded in overtaking Warren because the hero of this article at that time combined bodybuilding with his studies at the university. And very often bodybuilding faded into the background.
The quadrosaur returned to the podium in 1999 and took fourth place in the National Championship among juniors. In 2000, he already competed with adult "builders" and took third place, and in 2001, Warren switched to professional bodybuilding.
“Champions Night” was the name of the first professional athlete tournament. In 2004, he took eighth place there. Branch took the same place at Olimpia, which is very good for the first time. Participation in 2006 in Arnold Classic brought silver to the athlete.
Branch Warren currently lives in Keller , Texas, and continues to compete in world-class tournaments to win prizes. Married to Trish Warren, a professional gymnast.
