The essence of self-education and its role for the individual and society

Throughout his life, from the moment of his birth to his death, a person learns knowledge, getting the information, abilities and skills he needs in a particular area of โ€‹โ€‹science, culture, politics or everyday life.

The craving for knowledge is inherent in human nature itself at the level of instincts, as one of the most important sources of survival. For some, this later develops into a completely conscious interest, becomes a completely controlled and self-guided process, while for others it remains unconscious.

Education itself can be divided into two main types: the first is education, as a way of transferring experience and communication between generations, directed and controlled primarily from the outside, carried out in the interests of society and the state, family and staff, the purpose of this education is to educate a full member of society, citizen; the second is the acquisition of knowledge independently, outside educational institutions and collectives, guided only by their own will, in their own interests and based on personal motives and preferences.

The only factor affecting the course of self-education to one degree or another is the social and socio-political conditions that form interest and restrict access to information to a varying extent.
Self-education is an integral part of self-education, and it is the most productive and effective form of it, because it allows the person to form a fundamentally new qualities in himself, to improve himself, develop skills, eradicate vices and negative traits. Today, self-education means not only reading all kinds of literature, visiting Internet information resources on various topics, but also visiting and actively participating in events such as business seminars , conferences, trainings, symposia, courses, participation in disputes and debates, congresses and symposia on a wide variety of topics.

Self-education allows a person to set various goals for himself, and then achieve them, teach them how to optimize their own time and space in order to use them as efficiently as possible, mobilize all the resources at their disposal, expand erudition and worldview, and take a fresh look at familiar things, to see what used to go unnoticed.

With it, a person can reveal his creative potential, because self-education itself is a kind of creative process, since each person approaches him strictly individually. It contributes to the most complete development and disclosure of personality; spiritual, moral, intellectual, cultural growth occurs. At what, self-education is never too late to do, just as it is never too early to do it. For the first time, the most clear interest in self-understanding and understanding of the world around people comes in older teens, when they are still participating in a comprehensive school. A person goes all his life along the path of co-formation, since without this it is not possible to achieve success in life or business!

Largely at the present stage, this phenomenon is due to the deep crisis in which the current educational system is located. Independent searches for answers are one of the most likely solutions to this crisis, when teachers will not be sources of knowledge, but only helpers in learning new forms of behavior, gaining new knowledge and skills, developing their full-fledged personality, and revealing their potential.
