Perhaps one of the most ancient arts on earth is floristry. It not only conveys all the beauty and charm of the gifts of the goddess Flora, but at the same time reveals the unique inner world of a person who created beautiful compositions from fresh flowers, plants, and sometimes fruits.
When creating floral arrangements, the beauty of the flowers and the combinations created from them is revealed most fully. But what is meant by the term “beautiful flower”, because each of them is beautiful and original in its own way? And for some, an inconspicuous forget-me-not is much more beautiful than a magnificent rose.
As experts determine, the beauty of a flower mainly depends on its color, size and shape. Therefore, when composing a composition of fresh flowers, this is of particular importance. And first of all, coloring.
When arranging bouquets, florists, like artists, should be familiar with the basic properties of paints and the laws of their combinations, know the effect of such combinations on the emotions and feelings of a person, and use them skillfully. Indeed, in the absence of basic knowledge, you can make a bouquet of beautiful flowers that produces an unpleasant and even repulsive impression.
For example, a beautiful, it would seem, combination of two contrasting colors will make an unpleasant impression if, when compiling them, the balance in their saturation and aperture was not taken into account. If one of these flowers has a weaker color, then the bouquet immediately becomes pleasing to the eye.
Compositions of fresh flowers do not look if contrasting flowers are taken in equal amounts. A paint having a large aperture, in this case comes forward, and the harmony of the bouquet is broken. From aperture
The color of the flowers depends on their placement in the floral arrangement. Usually more brightly and densely colored flowers are placed in the center of the composition, and more delicate shades or less intensely colored ones are located on the periphery of the bouquet or below.
Sometimes, in order to soften the combination of slightly compatible colors, white or black paints are introduced into the composition. White color is combined with any of the colors, and other colors next to it only underline and seem to be illuminated from the inside. Therefore, the preparation of bouquets of fresh flowers quite often is based on the use of this technique.
A very impressive effect is achieved in the so-called monochrome arrangements, when flowers of the same tone, but in different shades, are used in a composition of natural flowers. Or plants of the same variety and species, but with varying degrees of development: completely open, partially blossomed, or else in buds. Interesting is the grouping of flowers of the same plant species, but of different varieties or varieties. For example, a bouquet of different varieties of lilac or white dahlia.
An original bouquet can be obtained by applying the contrast of the size or shape of the flowers. Moreover, if this contrast is subtle, then the effect of the resulting composition will be elegant and delicate.
Various may be floral to
composition and in size. This can be a complex composition, which includes various types of flowers,
or a miniature of only one flower.
In the preparation of bouquets and compositions, tableware and floral accessories are of great importance. To achieve harmony, even a vase for a bouquet in its size, color and shape must have common features with the plants exhibited in it. It is important to consider where this composition will be located: in a basket, a vase, stand or on the floor.
Such a creation of nature and human hands will not be ashamed to present or decorate a room, arrange a banquet or wedding, because a flower arrangement in the interior design can become a spectacular element.
