Cash on delivery is a fairly common form of payment for most buyers with sellers. The popularity of this type of payment is explained by the distrust of the population in online stores and the fear of being cheated. Indeed, today in the global network there are so many scammers that people have a desire to play it safe.
Cash on delivery also characterizes the psychological attitude to online purchases. Often they are carried out spontaneously and emotionally. In addition, some people, due to the negative practice of electronic relationships, have formed the idea of ββstores on the network as some kind of virtual places in which things are sold fake (virtual). Cash on delivery allows you to cancel the purchase at any time and not pick up the parcel. This allows online store customers to feel calmer.
Thus, cash on delivery means a payment method in which the buyer transfers money only after the parcel is actually received. Moreover, any product can be obtained in this way - from vitamins to furniture.
For example, sports nutrition by cash on delivery must have a declared postal value not lower than this payment. Moreover, such a shipment is sent between the objects of the postal service of Russia. When it is submitted, the sender instructs a certain branch (or any other carrier) to recover a certain amount set by him directly from the addressee.
The situation is similar if the shoes are sent by cash on delivery.
The exception is military units and organizations with the address "Field Mail". The indicated items are not sent here.
Cash on delivery is carried out before directly receiving the parcel or the parcel with the ordered things, for example, in the online store. Before making the payment, the addressee has the right to receive information about the sender and his address data. After receiving the postal item sent with cash on delivery, it cannot be sent back, and the payment amount cannot be returned.
In order to detect defects and compare the configuration with the corresponding inventory, the postal worker parcels and parcels are opened in front of the addressee upon delivery. If any damage or defects are found, the amount of payment is not collected. An appropriate act is drawn up, which must be signed by the addressee, the post manager and another employee of the department. One copy of such an act is transmitted directly to the recipient. And the second, together with the mail, is returned to the sender.
If it is established that the contents of the parcel are intact, then the addressee must pay cash on delivery, as well as reimburse the shipping cost.
One of the disadvantages of this acquisition of goods is its cost increase in the cost of postal services. The next negative point is the likelihood of not receiving the right product in general due to defects found during shipment.
