Quick and easy dinner: shrimp paste in a creamy sauce

Sometimes you want to cook something original, but at the same time, as a rule, you donโ€™t have enough time or the necessary ingredients are not found in the refrigerator. Today we offer a recipe that does not require large time and food costs - " Shrimp paste in a creamy sauce." You will need: a pound of any shrimp and a pound of spaghetti, as well as a few fresh tomatoes, green onions, dill, a couple of cloves of garlic, half a glass of sour cream or cream, salt and vegetable or olive oil for frying. Well, now let's take a closer look at how to cook spaghetti with shrimps in a creamy sauce.

We start by defrosting shrimp. The most optimal way is to fill them with boiling water and leave them to cool water. If the shrimp is already peeled - well, if not - then we undertake cleaning. While you are doing this procedure, you can put water to heat for pasta, by the time you finish, it will already boil. Then we lower the spaghetti into the salted water and set about preparing the sauce.

Shrimp paste in a creamy sauce, like any Italian dish, is impossible without tomatoes. Therefore, we take our tomatoes, cut them into small cubes, put them in a pan and fry them in olive (or vegetable) oil for several minutes. Once the tomatoes have started the juice, add the garlic and herbs, which are already finely chopped, to them. Then we send shrimp to the same pan. You can additionally add a specialized seasoning for shrimp, the taste will be more saturated and spicy. Mix everything and leave to stew for a couple of minutes. Next, add cream or sour cream, salt, bring to a boil and turn off.

Spaghetti by this time have already been cooked (try to make sure that they are a little firm, that is, have an aldente degree of readiness), we discard them in a colander, and then add them to the pan, stir and voila! Our shrimp paste in a creamy sauce is ready! It remains only to beautifully decorate the dish with greens, and serve it to the table! You can also decorate the dish by adding a small amount of red caviar.

Now I would like to give some cooking tips:

- In order for the shrimp not to become too stiff, make sure that after you put them in the pan no more than 2-3 minutes pass.

- If your shrimp paste involves high-quality spaghetti of the highest grade, then rinsing them after boiling is not necessary, but if you use pasta of a different grade, then this procedure to get rid of excess starch cannot be avoided.

- It will be much more convenient and faster if you purchase already peeled shrimp. In this case, cooking will take a minimal amount of time and your efforts.

- If you get bored with shrimp paste in a creamy sauce (although this is unlikely to happen, spaghetti turns out to be very tasty), try replacing the shrimp with another seafood, such as squid, octopus or, in extreme cases, crab sticks. The cooking technology remains the same, only the squid and octopus must first be boiled in salted water. It's easy enough to defrost crab sticks well. When boiling squid or octopus, carefully monitor the cooking time: prolonged boiling can make the meat of this mollusk tough and kind of โ€œrubberโ€. A dish prepared in this way acquires a slightly different flavor without losing the basic taste.

So simply and quickly enough, you can diversify your menu and pamper your family with Italian cuisine. And experimenting with the addition of new ingredients and spices, you will again and again surprise your loved ones with your culinary talent! Bon appetit and creative inspiration!
