Tasks

The Angarsk Petrochemical Company, in fact, is a backbone enterprise. The construction of the Angarsk plant marked the beginning of the implementation of a strategic government plan for the development of industrial forces throughout Eastern Siberia. The official commissioning date is September 14, 1945.

Initially, the plant was focused on producing artificial liquid fuel. But the country needed not only fuel. It was necessary to develop the industrial infrastructure of the region with the richest reserves. The plant became a springboard for the development of the industrial potential of Eastern Siberia, the construction of new enterprises.

A considerable help to them is made up of several subsidiaries, for example, the East Siberian Engineering Plant. ANKhK is a large consumer of thermal and electric energy, and thus provides work for two thermal power plants that are part of Irkutskenergo.
