Attention Development - One of the Methods to Combat ADHD

In recent years, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has been diagnosed in children more and more often. It is characterized by a weak concentration of voluntary attention, increased excitability, and mobility of the child.

The problems of the family in which such a baby grows appear already in kindergarten. Today, a preschool is forced to strengthen the preparation of children for schooling. Hyperactive children already in kindergarten can not cope with the requirements for training: they find it difficult to sit at the table, lack of attention does not allow listening to the teacher for a long (15 minutes!) Time, etc. In addition, not all educators are proficient in working with such children. Therefore, the problems of the child have to be solved, first of all, by the parents.

Games to develop attention .

They should become permanent and everyday in the family. It is not necessary to arrange a semblance of schoolwork with a child in order to achieve success. So parents can only increase arousal and unwillingness to engage. The first task of adults is motivation. You need to find a way to captivate the child with the game. To do this, you can come up with a lot of incentives. One of the principles of educational games is a child and an adult who are full-fledged subjects of the game. If an adult thinks, gives a task, then the child does the same.

When choosing games, you must first adhere to the rule "one game - one function." That is, in the game action tasks for the development of memory, thinking, etc. cannot be present At first - only the development of attention .

The game "Follow me." An adult draws a figure in the air with his hand. The child repeats after him. Then they change roles.

The game "Gift". The pantomime depict what we give to each other. One shows, the other guesses.

Game "Changing rooms." The child turns away, the adult changes something in his clothes. The task of the child is to say what has changed.

The game "Pictures". Do not neglect the classic pictures, on which there are “artists' mistakes”, and labyrinths, and extra objects.

The game "Catch the sound." Let's choose some sounding objects. We knock on them with a wooden stick (or pencil). Then we will take turns closing our eyes and guessing what subject is singing.

Gradually, you can complicate the game to develop attention .

The game "Remember and Guess." Put several items on the table in front of the child. He must remember them. Then the child turns away, and the adult swaps objects or adds others. It is necessary to indicate what has changed.

With ADHD, a child needs to develop attention to the speech of others. A child can remember your requirements, advice, reminders only when he listened carefully to them. Increasing attention to the words of parents can be achieved by adhering to the following rules:

- addressing the child, speak important phrases, looking into his eyes, and making sure that the child hears you;

- when you want to say something important that requires attention, exclude extraneous irritants (TV, computer, music and more);

- Do not raise your voice, speak calmly, clearly, choosing available words and expressions.

Games with words and letters, storytelling and composing stories will help in developing attention to speech.

The game "Continue the tale." An adult and a child take turns telling a fairy tale. In this simple process, attention, speech, and logical thinking develop.

For schoolchildren, a good game of attention will be the test game “Proof Test”. On a piece of paper we print in random order different letters. We fill with such lines about half of the A4 sheet. The task for the student is to cross out all the letters "P". You can track the execution time and count the number of mistakes made (missing a letter, striking out another letter). Record the results of the game in a prominent place on the poster "My Achievements".
