With your own hands, it’s easy to sew a convenient portable cradle, which is popularly called a cocoon, as it hugs the baby from all sides. It can be taken with you on the road, on outdoor recreation, put on a bed next to mom.
Despite all the apparent complexity, it is not difficult to sew such a cradle. You will need a dense cotton fabric in one or two colors, a zipper, a tape for tightening the corners of the cocoon, synthetic winterizer, foam rubber and batting.
