What is sport shooting?

Varieties of the presented sport

Features of bullet shooting
In this case, the participant uses rifled firearms and pneumatic weapons. The athlete must hit all the targets provided to him as accurately as possible. Moreover, they can be static or move. It should also be noted that bullet shooting has a clear algorithm of actions, which remains stable for everyone, regardless of experience.
Bullet shooting still requires a certain fixed position during the shot. The main thing for an athlete is to feel his weapon well. Only in this case will he be able to hit exactly on target. Also, the shooter must have a good reaction and be attentive.
All necessary qualities must be developed equally well, since the absence of one of them can significantly affect the result. During the shot, a person should be fully grouped and passionate about his business. It should also be said that people with a stable psyche should engage in such a sport. That is, a person should not be distracted by extraneous stimuli.
Pistol Shooting Features
Now we will understand in more detail how to use weapons. Sports pistol shooting is carried out from a weapon whose caliber is 7.62-9.65 mm. However, it can be pneumatic. Often used small-caliber and large-caliber
(revolver) weapons.
A participant can shoot from a pistol only at static targets. However, he remains in one position: standing, with his arm extended forward. The gun can be standard, pneumatic or arbitrary. Moreover, both women and men can shoot. In this case, the distance to the target can be from 10 to 50 meters. Each participant must complete from 20 shots or more. Moreover, each round lasts a certain amount of time.
Features of rifle shooting
Everything is a bit more complicated here. The fact is that sports shooting from a rifle provides for several provisions from which a shot is fired. The distance to the target is from 10 to 300 m. Most often in this type of shooting stationary targets are used that do not move.
As for the provisions of the participant, there are several:
- Standing. In this case, the rifle is held with two hands. The main emphasis is on the shoulder and part of the chest. The belt on which the weapon usually hangs is not needed in this case. In addition, the shooter must never use lenses or optical sights.
- From the knee. Here, the rifle is also held with both hands. In this case, one elbow rests on the knee.
- Lying. In this case, the focus is on the elbows. And the athlete uses a special mat. This pose is the most comfortable and stable.
Naturally, during the shooting, the participant must be focused, purposeful and attentive. The closer to the center of the target it hits, the higher the score will earn.
What is trap shooting and what are its types?
Its main feature is that it is carried out in an open area. In this case, the target does not stand still, but moves and has an unusual plate shape. As a weapon, a gun is most often used. It is charged with a shot cartridge.
Bullet shooting provides for several types of stands:
- Round. Its feature is that the participant can feel like a real hunter. The stand is a small round platform with 7 places for shooting. Near the first and seventh are two turrets, on which there are cars that throw targets. A feature of such shooting is that the participant must gradually move from 1st to 7th position. At the same time, he must hit 25 targets.
- Trench. Such a platform has a large width and length. There are throwing machines and a place for a judge. In this case, the positions for firing are located in a semicircle on the same line. It should also be noted that using such a stand is advisable only if the throwing machines are at least 15 pieces.
- Double trap. A feature of this stand is that the participant must shoot down two targets that fly out of the machine at the same time.
- Sporting. This type of trap shooting is distinguished by different flight paths of the plates, unequal distances. In addition, you can additionally aim at targets that move on the ground. Therefore, this type of shooting is the most difficult.
Features target for trap shooting
It is a small plate in diameter, which is made of natural materials: limestone powder and molten pitch. It has a bright orange color so that it can be seen on the street. In addition, you can check how good the target is. To do this, simply hit it with a small metal rod. If the plate rings, then everything is in order.
Target firing targets have a small mass, which should not exceed 105 g. It should be noted that at the final competitions they use special plates coated with luminous powder (fluorescent). The fact is that in this case the shooting becomes very beautiful and spectacular.
A high-quality target should fly out of the machine as a whole. The diameter of the plate should not exceed 11 cm. It must be said that one target is used only once. At the same time, it does not matter at all whether the shooter hit her. In competitions, the participant gives a command, after which the plate flies out of the machine. Varieties of targets for bullet shooting

- Electronic. This type of product is used only at high-level competitions: championships, Olympic games. At the same time, the target itself does not make its way through. The quality and position of the hole are determined acoustically or optically. Sometimes both methods are used simultaneously.
- Printed. This type of target is the most common. It is used during training. A similar target is made of durable material on which a clear hole remains. Naturally, after training, such a product is no longer suitable for use.
- mechanical. This type of target is used both in training and in competitions.
Shooting Range Features
A weapon has never been a safe item, even if you will not use live ammunition. Shooting at a shooting range is a special process. Here you should be careful as you are indoors. Its advantage is that you can not be distracted by extraneous irritants, because in the dash all the conditions for quiet shooting are created.
However, during training, you must be calm and balanced. In addition, all shots are fired under the control of a more experienced person. In this case, in no case should you be in the zone where the targets hang. In addition, it is not permitted to direct weapons at people or in any other direction from the target. The weapons you took cannot be transferred to anyone.
After the shooting ends, you need to carefully check the weapon for the presence of ammunition in the store and barrel. Recharge is made only at the firing line. After training, the weapon is surrendered to the instructor or to the person responsible for it.
