Arrangement of a stationary “washing station” can take a lot of time and effort. And what can literally be done from nothing? In this article, we will tell you how to make a washbasin from plastic bottles with your own hands. You will be convinced that it is completely not difficult and even for someone who has never dealt with technology.

Types of washbasins

Anyone who is just starting to get involved in country life might think that a street wash basin can only be of the simplest design. In truth, this is not entirely true. It all depends on the skill of the master. Even from a canister or plastic eggplant you can make an excellent functional device. And if you make a little effort, then the marching washbasin can be not only practical, but also beautiful.

The most common models are:

• Portable - A design that can be easily moved to any convenient location of your choice.
• Hinged - attached in the chosen place, can be equipped with a faucet or a clamping nose.
• "Moydodyr" - a water tank mounted on a pedestal, in which a bucket for dirty drains is hidden.

But today we’ll talk about the simplest model - a home-made washbasin from a plastic bottle. The designs of such a structure are different.

Easy peasy

The easiest homemade washbasin can be made from any plastic bottle. In addition to her, you will also need any sharp object and ordinary lace. If you know the simplest laws of physics, then the question of how to make a wash basin from a plastic bottle is not before you.

1. We take eggplant of any capacity and with the help of an awl, a nail or any sharp object we make a small hole in the bottom. Just 2-3 mm is enough.
2. We tie the neck of the bottle with a string and make a loop. In the future, we will hang our "washbasin" for it.
3. In principle, our homemade washbasin made of plastic bottles with our own hands is already ready. Take the eggplant, plug the hole in the bottom with your finger, pour into a container of water. Without lifting your finger from the bottom, tighten the cover securely. Using a string, hang the jar by the neck in the selected location.
4. Since there is no air access from above, nothing will pour out through the hole. When you want to wash your hands, slightly unscrew the cap on the bottle. The tank will begin to “suck” air, and water will flow through the hole in the bottom. To “close the tap”, screw on the cover.

As you can see, it’s very easy to build a washbasin from plastic bottles with your own hands .

If you have at hand a regular nail or a screw with a wide hat, the previous design can be slightly improved.

• Take the cap and make a hole in it the same diameter as the screw, but smaller than its cap.
• We insert a screw into the hole so that its hat is inside the bottle, and the “sting” sticks out.
• Now cut off the bottom of the bottle, and screw the neck with a screw cap. Turn the bottle over and fix it in the chosen place. Pour water and cover the bottle with an inverted bottom on top. This will protect our washbasin from dirt.

Our washbasin is made of plastic bottles with our own hands. Using it is very simple. “Knock” the screw from below, it rises, and water begins to pour into the hole. When the screw goes down, its head blocks the hole and the liquid does not flow.

Cork holes

You can make a street washbasin without a nail. In the side of the lid, where the thread is, you need to make a small incision or hole. Everything else is identical to the previous method. To "open the tap", you need to slightly turn the lid. The hole will be released and water will flow into it. Turned back - the crane closed.

This method has one drawback. If you turn the lid too hard, the pressure of the water will throw it off the thread, and all the liquid will spill onto your feet.

Syringe system

And how to make a wash basin out of a plastic bottle so that you can turn it on and off without fear of being doused? It turns out that it’s not so difficult.

• Take the plastic eggplant and unscrew the cap from it.
• You will also need a regular two-cube medical syringe without a needle.
• In the middle of the cap, make a hole corresponding to the diameter of the syringe. And at the last with a sharp knife cut off the nose together with part of the body. You should get a plastic tube with a piston inside.
• Insert the cut syringe into the cap so that the piston is on the outside of the structure. Screw on the cover.
• Cut the bottom of the buckle, turn it over, fix it in the right place and pour water.

The washbasin is ready. If you push the piston all the way in, it will “walk” freely, and water will flow out of the bottle, like from a store street washbasin. If the flow needs to be blocked, just pull the piston. He will go into a plastic tube and there will be no water.

If you want water to flow constantly, the design can be improved a bit. Prepare the syringe in the same way as in the previous version. Now remove the piston completely, and drill a few holes in the tube. The flow intensity will depend on their diameter. Replace the piston and repeat all the steps from the previous scenario. Now, if you push the piston all the way, the water through the holes in the tube will flow continuously. Do you want to stop? Pull the piston.

Purchased Materials

It is very convenient to make a wash basin from a 5-liter plastic bottle. This volume allows you to not only thoroughly wash or rinse the vegetables, but also take a light shower.

To make the wash basin even more convenient, you can attach a special faucet to the neck and fix it with electrical tape. The device is inexpensive, and you can purchase it at any hardware store. In an extreme case, a faucet from an old washing machine will do.

Just a couple of rubles - and your home-made washbasin will be no worse than from the store. By the way, instead of a five-liter can, you can use a can of thick plastic. It will turn out even more reliable.

Two eggplant system

If you like to go camping, you know that the washing process can cause some difficulties. Often you have to look for a special place where to put a toothbrush or a tube of paste. In some cases, you have to ask for help from comrades.

We present to your attention a wash system of two plastic bottles, in which special holders are provided.

1. From the first eggplant we make a wash basin with any water supply system of your choice.
2. The second bottle is cut off on both sides in the form of a cylinder about 10-12 cm high.
3. Transverse cuts are made from one of the edges on the cylinder and the edge is bent inward. This is done so that the structure can be put on the first bottle and fixed with the received teeth on top. Otherwise, it will slide off.
4. Also, longitudinal sections are made on the surface of the cylinder. The resulting strips must be turned outward and fastened in the form of a loop. This can be done using a stapler. If not, you can use a lighter. Melt the edge of the strip above the flame and hold it firmly to the desired location.
5. Make one of the loops wider. Toothpaste will be inserted there.
6. Put the cylinder on the first bottle and hook the edges. You can use it.
