How to make a device from a regular shoe box? Preparation of materials
For this device you will need a large magnifying glass and box. The first element (lens) will be used as a lens for our projector. Such a device can play and display photo and video files even from a mobile phone. In this case, the distortion of data and sound will be minimal.

So, how to make a do-it-yourself projector from a shoe box? First you need to paint the inner walls of the container black. If such paint is not at hand, you can paste over the box with black paper. With these actions, you will significantly improve the quality of the video being played.
How to make a do-it-yourself projector next? In the next step, cut a small hole on the top of the box to mount the magnifier. The latter is fixed using tape or tape. However, here you need to be extremely careful - there should not be any light around the lens, otherwise the projector for the house, made by one’s own hands, will not show the image in high quality.
Inside the box is a telephone. The screen of the gadget must be directed "face" to the lens. To prevent the mobile phone from accidentally shifting to the side, it is better to use a special stand or holder (for example, a car with suction cups). In this regard, the phone in the box should be rotated 180 degrees. And to adjust the clarity of the image, just move the screen of the mobile phone on the back wall of the box, thereby adjusting the desired focus.
Do-it-yourself projector out of the box - method number 2
Similarly to the first case, we need to make a small hole here. In order for it to be several centimeters smaller in diameter in the central part of the box than the magnifying lens itself, you need to draw its mounting location in advance. To do this, a lens is applied outside the container, and a rectangle is drawn on it using a marker or a soft pencil. Inside the resulting image, another figure is drawn, however, here you need to retreat a couple of centimeters inward. By the way, a rectangle can be drawn on the contours of a bank card. The lens mounts securely to the front of the box.
Here it must be taken into account that the corrugated part of the magnifying lens must be placed with the end part inside the container. After fixing the magnifier, the box folds and closes. The appearance of such a projector is unlikely to please anyone, so after its final assembly it is recommended to paint it with dark paint from a spray can.
How is the source of the image fixed in the box?
If you use a tablet as a data source, then to mount it, you just need to prepare a few thick books or a stable box that has dimensions equal to the dimensions of the gadget. In order to fix the device in an inverted state (for the correct display of information), thin rubber bands are additionally used. If a laptop was chosen as the source of the image, then in this case neither thick books nor a box will help to keep it in this state. Therefore, to fix such a computer in the rear wall of the box, another hole is cut out.
Its dimensions should correspond to the length and width of the laptop display. Next, the computer turns 180 degrees and puts the keyboard up on the box lid. It is best that the walls of the projector are not cardboard, but at least plywood.
