"The day will not live in vain!" One way or another, we would like to think every evening, recalling with satisfaction the work done during the day. Not many can boast of this. And the rare โinstancesโ of homo sapiens, who succeed, use a simple rule: make a to-do list for the day. How? Now we find out.
Notebook
Find the most convenient way for you to keep notes - for example, notepad, computer, phone, stickers. The main thing is that they are always in sight, at hand, because you probably do not want to spend precious time looking for records and memories of what was planned and in what order. Moreover, when the to-do list for the day constantly catches your eye, the probability of its completion increases several times.
Plan
Daily, or better, nightly planning is the key to your success. Just remember and write in writing all that needs to be done in the near future.
To-do list for the day
Based on your plan, make a selection of cases that require immediate completion. Write them down in priority order. Ideally, if next to each point you set a time period during which the task must be completed. At the same time, do not overload the list with chores. Well, if the number of priority tasks is not more than three.
Work with a list
Remember to commit changes, if any. Make adjustments to your daily planning in time to meet new circumstances. So your to-do list program will never crash.
Mark done
Cross out the completed work from the list or put a plus, exclamation mark, bird, flag, emoticon, or any other optimistic and encouraging badge that would please the eye and soul. This technique is good as an additional motivation, such as bonuses in computer games.
Engage in color perception
Fill the lists with ink of different colors. For example, a list of good deeds, those that you are most pleased to do, are green, urgent ones are red, past due ones are black, etc.
Fields
As you progress, write in the margins the necessary comments or symbolic labels. They will greatly help you in the further implementation of the planned list.
Limitations
Do not inflate the to-do list for the day with items of non-essential, self-evident tasks. Of course, itโs nice to make twenty victorious marks about what was accomplished during the day. But very soon such an appearance of violent activity will tire you, and the mass of planned affairs will cause hostility. The list should contain only basic tasks.
Relaxation
Important! There should be a break between cases. Note, not in the process of completing a task, but after it, before a new one.
Report
Self-discipline leads a person to the pinnacle of mastery, directly to the goal achieved. Make yourself another good habit: report to yourself every night. This will be the beginning of the plan for tomorrow. The circle is closed. We have come to the point from which we started.
Great planningDo not be surprised that very soon you will need to compile to-do lists for the week, month and set goals for the year.
Good luck!
