The third place in a bitter struggle was won by the St. Petersburg Zenit-DUBL team. Andrei Kirilenko praised everything that is being done in the Northern capital to train beginner athletes. The system of training young athletes
For two years, the SIBUR - Zenit project has been implemented, within the framework of which a lot of work has been done in seven cities of the country to reconstruct basketball courts and conduct a regional selection of capable children. This is done to attract them to the seven-day training camp on the basis of BC Zenit. Among the participating cities are Nizhnevartovsk and Tobolsk, Dzerzhinsk and Tolyatti, Perm, Voronezh and Tomsk. The territories where it is necessary to tighten the coaching staff and identify promising young men over 10 years old for a possible continuation of the training process in St. Petersburg are selected.
Previously, the basketball school was engaged only with pupils of the school (8 of them) from the city and region, among whom was Julin Kalinin. His name can be found in the competition protocols for the 2011/2012 season. Then it was a short kid 175 cm tall, speaking in the position of the striker. No one knew if a real athlete would leave the teenager, except for an experienced trainer who could discern talent. Who was the person who believed in the future of his pupil?
First trainer
In official documents, the name of Vasilevsky Dmitry Konstantinovich is indicated. This person is unique. His mother was also a basketball player, and he made a successful playing career with Karasev, Pashutin, Kisurin and Panov. But he really realized himself in coaching, having created a sports class on the basis of school No. 222. Among his students is not only Kalinin Julius. Basketball, for example, has long been an important part of life for the son of television presenter Kirill Nabutov - Victor. All graduates of the school after receiving certificates followed their coach, enrolling in the Leningrad State University. Pushkin, where he trains the team playing in the ASB today.
In the 2016/2017 season, he spent several games for his student team and Kalinin Julius, but his busy schedule does not allow him to become a major player. The beginning of his sports career is connected with BC Zenit.
Today
Julia Viktorovich - 19, he was born in 1998. Not so long ago, he celebrated his next birthday, which falls on April 20. Today, this is no longer a modest teenager, but a confident player 197 cm tall. In 2013, VTB United League organized regular competitions for young reservists of Super League clubs. In this youth tournament and participates Kalinin Julius (“Zenith”). The main composition of the BC is his dream so far, but on the stripe shirt the personal number “20” flaunts, by which fans of the club know him. Of the 15 Zenit players, six are foreign players. A little time will pass, and the need for them will disappear. Kalinin Julius and his talented peers will replace them.
