Enterprise management is a multi-stage process consisting of many subsystems. An important area is operational management. Indeed, as a result, it is possible to highlight certain information necessary for solving problems associated with the subsequent planning of the entire production process.
Operational management without fail consists of a certain set of works:
- Organization of the development of calendar plans and their implementation.
- Writing shift-daily production tasks at the level of each production segment.
- Work on the organization of providing all jobs with the necessary tools.
- Accounting and control of processes in production.
- Process regulation.
Operational production management involves continuous, that is, daily monitoring of the progress of production. At the same time, a targeted effect is exerted on the teams of sites and entire workshops, which ensures the unconditional implementation of production programs that have already passed the mandatory approval procedure. This can be achieved by fulfilling certain conditions:
- work should be strictly distributed for short periods of time, this requirement applies to workshops, production sites, as well as individual jobs;
- information about the production process should be constantly collected and processed in accordance with clearly defined requirements;
- computer facilities should be used comprehensively to prepare options for making management decisions ;
- mandatory must be a daily analysis of the production situation, which should be owned by all management personnel in each link of production;
- decisions must be taken in a timely manner on the organization of work to prevent violations in the production process or for its quick recovery if there is a deviation from the planned tasks.
Effective operational management is possible only if you clearly understand the essence of production processes. It is worth saying that they can be basic, service and support. And the main ones can be clandestine, transformative and final. Thanks to the use of the formulated principles of rationalization, specialists can organize quite effective production of consumer goods.
To ensure the highest possible quality of the process, first in the system it is worth analyzing: competitive strength at the input; reasonable exit parameters and how they meet the requirements of competitiveness; how much the environmental parameters and regional infrastructure affect the process.
Operational management allows you to determine how to apply existing production resources to meet consumer demand.
As part of the implementation of operational management subsystems, it is customary to automate the following functions:
- capacity planning;
- calculation of the schedule by the number of months;
- launch of production according to plan;
- launch assurance;
- work planning and priority;
- accounting of work performed;
- dispatching (regulation) of all production.
Thus, operational management is focused on the formation and issuance of plans, coordination of activities, and is also responsible for ensuring that the workshops are provided with everything necessary in the production process. Since each enterprise is unique, taking into account this, a certain philosophy of production management is used. At the same time, management skills of staff are very important.
