An incident is a negative situation.

A large number of conflicts are occurring in the world, which can arise for various reasons. In general, they can be called the word "incident". This is a generic term that is used to refer to a collision, conflict, or event. Often he is given precisely the negative color. This is true, but when we say that an incident has occurred, this can be regarded as a positive point. Indeed, for example, if we suddenly met an old friend, then this may come as a surprise or a misunderstanding for us. But we can say that in this case there is an incident, moreover, in no way of a negative format.

There can be a great many of them, because the investigation of incidents is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies, and conflict management is the subject of research in a science such as psychology. There are other sciences that are directly related to the study of this phenomenon. But let's talk about the reasons. An incident is not something taken for granted, it consists of a number of factors that can be generalized into several groups. There must be a certain tension. It can manifest itself in both potential and real forms. Then, in order for real tension to manifest itself, interaction is necessary, as a result of which an incident arises. This is a general formula by which we can judge the causes of a phenomenon.

The sources are various inconsistencies between people that can arise in different areas. We list a few basic ones. This is a contradiction about:

• knowledge, skills, abilities;
• performance of certain functions;
• mental and emotional states of an individual;
• views, opinions;
• ratings and, most importantly, self-ratings.

Kinds

In addition to sources, one can distinguish groups into which such a concept as an incident is subdivided. The first of them is the strength and severity of the conflict situation. It can be expressed in the form of contradiction, disagreement or hostility in extreme manifestation. It is important to highlight the negative situations in the sphere of origin (economic, political, religious, domestic, etc.). In addition, people can be drawn into conflict in different ways. On this basis, interpersonal, inter-collective, and even interstate incidents are determined.

For most people, a peaceful way out of the situation does not always seem effective, so an incident arises. This is not necessarily a fight or any other extreme manifestation of emotions. There may be a simple dissatisfaction with the actions of others. There are many reasons for this. Unfortunately, practically nowhere is there a mass training of people to get out of such situations. Only a narrow circle of specialists (psychologists, doctors) is aware of the whole danger of interpersonal conflicts, and most importantly, knows how to get out of this situation correctly. There remains little developed such a field of knowledge, which bears the generalized name "conflictology". It is within the framework of this discipline that people should be trained so that incidents occur as little as possible, and the consequences of the most complex forms are leveled.
