Northern Kazakhstan is the beauty of diamond lakes and the unique flora and fauna, this is the grandeur of the Kokshetau mountains and the exotic cliffs of Bayanaul. All lovers of pristine nature seek here to feel like a part of it.
It is here, between the mountains, there is a unique area - Borovoe. This is a real oasis among stone rocks and feather grass steppes. Local guides call it “Kazakh Switzerland” for picturesque lakes with crystal-clear water, icy keys and gurgling streams, for a colorful carpet of trees and shrubs.
Here, in this fabulously beautiful land, Lake Shchuchye shines on the green cloth of the forest. The combination of mountains, water surface and coniferous forest creates not only external beauty, but also a unique healing climate. That is why there are many sanatoriums, tourist centers and pensions on the shores of the lake.
The name "Pike" speaks for itself: there is a huge amount of pike. Therefore, it is attractive for all fans to sit on a dawn with a fishing rod or enjoy the evening bite.
This is a fairly large lake: its length is 7 km, width - 3 km, and in some places the depth reaches 23 meters. Aerial view, it looks like a small dinosaur or
seahorse. Previously, many streams flowed into the lake, and only one Kylshakty flowed out. Today, the connection between the river and the lake was interrupted - it is becoming shallow.
Coniferous forest, mountains, clean, rich in the aroma of herbs air create a unique microclimate in these places. There are much more sunny days here than anywhere else in the middle lane. Transparent waters invite here and lovers of spearfishing, and true connoisseurs of fishing. There are not only a lot of fish in lake water, but also crayfish.
Therefore, tourists are attracted to their shores by Lake Shchuchye. Kazakhstan is rightfully proud of this small, cozy corner, where there are numerous hotels and places of recreation, there is the opportunity to relax and cleanse the lungs, go down from the mountains, drink koumiss and take healing mud baths.
Oddly enough, but on our planet there are absolutely similar places. Surrounded by mountains and
pine forests, in the Beloyarsky district of the Sverdlovsk region lies another Shchuchye lake. Yekaterinburg believes that this is the most beautiful lake not only in the vicinity, but throughout the world. Although it is not far from the city itself, the poor road leading to the coast has done its job - there are not too many vacationers in these places.
Fishing lovers come here on weekends to do what they love, live in tents and relax from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Lake Schuchye more than lives up to its name. It is a true paradise, always guaranteeing an ideal bite for fishermen and valuable trophies - large pikes.
The lake itself is very small - only 0.36 square meters in area. The length of its coastline is about 3 km. The average depth is only a meter, in the deepest places it can be up to three and a half. And the water is amazingly clean and clear. Especially for vacationers there are several equipped sandy beaches.
If you wish, you can live here for a long time. Unfortunately, there are no special recreation centers on the lake, but you can always find a place for sleeping in the huntsman’s house. Although in fine summertime you can spend the night in tents, cook fish soup at the stake, wash yourself with clean lake water and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of nature.
