Vietnam: resorts and main attractions of the country

Most international flights take Hanoi Airport, but do not regard the capital as a simple transit point. No wonder tourists from coastal resorts carry excursions here. Vietnam, whose resorts are concentrated mainly in the center and in the south of the country, is very elongated in the north-south direction, and since Hanoi is located in the very north, it is quite cold in winter. The peak of the tourist season in the city is September-November. At this time, the wet season has already ended, and the cold has not yet arrived. Despite its capital status and considerable size (more than six million people), Hanoi does not make the impression of a noisy metropolis, but rather looks like a museum city. Here is the famous lake of the Returned Sword.

Vietnam Resorts

Not far from Hanoi is the official wonder of the world, which has no equal in beauty - Ha Long Bay. The name of the bay can be translated as "plunging dragon." From the sea surface 3,000 islands of the most bizarre form are sheerly rising to the sky. Some of them have grottoes and caves, waterfalls. But Ha Long is also a city, the capital of the province of Quang Ninh. Tourists use the bay for excursion visits for 1-2 days. Resorts are not common in this part of the country: Vietnam has plenty of them south of Hanoi. However, you can stay for a few days on Kat Ba Island.

Excursions Vietnam

North Vietnam, whose resorts are not numerous, is distinguished by the town of Shapa (its name is also pronounced as Sapa). It was founded by the French colonists as a mountain resort, because the Hoang Lin Son mountains are also called the Tonkin Alps. Shapa is surrounded by high peaks. Here you can climb the summit of Fansipan - the highest point in the country, ride a mountain bike, visit a local attraction, the “Market of Love”, and visit many ethnic tribes living in the old way.

We move further south to Central Vietnam. Resorts here are the most diverse, for every taste: for calm "beach people" who like to wallow in shallow water, for surfers, for divers. Of particular relevance here is Danang with China Beach - a paradise for surfers in the fall, when the wave is especially good. The resort hosts world championships in this sport. For those who want to improve their health in this part of the country there is no better resort than Nha Trang. There is a mud bath and healing mineral springs. For a quiet leisurely family vacation, the former fishing village of Phan Thiet is suitable.

Resorts Vietnam

South Vietnam, whose resorts attract mainly winter tourists, since the climate is already subequatorial, has its own unofficial capital - Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). It is difficult to call this metropolis a resort, but a trip to the excursion if you have chosen the south of the country as your vacation destination is a must. Vung Tau Resort is a favorite vacation spot for Saigon residents. Rest here is quite expensive, elite, many villas, guest houses and restaurants. Another resort in this region that cannot be ignored is Dalat. Even in the rainy season it is sunny here. In the vicinity there are many waterfalls, lakes, mountains - this is a place of rest for active tourists.

The island that Vietnam is famous for is the resort of Phu Quoc. Located 40 km from the coast of the mainland, this island is also called "pearl", as it has several farms for growing mollusks. There are beautiful virgin jungle and white sandy beaches. Fu Quoc is attractive to divers. It is also remarkable for the fact that the wet season lasts only a month (October).
