The building of the Main Media Center in Sochi was erected in the Imereti Lowland. Its main purpose was to receive 15 thousand journalists during the Olympic Games, provide them with jobs and unhindered broadcasting of information to the whole world. The chief engineer of the construction site shared with reporters information that colossal work was carried out to test complex engineering systems in order to organize the trouble-free operation of all engineering communications in the Main Media Center of the city of Sochi. Workers had to carry out comprehensive tests of such systems necessary for the normal operation of the facility as:
- Water supply.
- Thermal energy.
- Electrical equipment.

Redevelopment of the building after the Olympics
After the Olympic Games in our country, the main media center in Sochi was decided to be converted into a shopping center. After reconstruction, it became the largest object of trade in the surrounding regions. Inside the center opened stores selling:
