The Utilization program has been running for several years. Since its inception, company representatives have been offering their regular and new customers an exchange of used electronics and equipment for new models at a discount. Its size directly depends on the type of electronics, therefore, during the exchange it can reach up to 10,000 rubles (and this is no more than 15-20% of the cost of new models of equipment).
The Total Recycling program in Eldorado provides for the exchange according to the principle: one unit of used equipment - per unit of new equipment. For example, if you rent an idle plasma and even a kinescope TV, you can buy a completely new laptop, system unit, monitor, TV and other goods from similar categories. What do consumers say about the program?
Since its inception, the Eldorado Recycling Program has provoked a violent reaction in the media and among consumers themselves. Based on numerous reviews, the Utilization program Eldorado 2014 has its pros and cons. Among the positive aspects of the action are the following:
- the ability to replace long-obsolete and broken equipment with new;
- availability of free delivery;
- export of large-sized household appliances by company employees;
- the opportunity to get a discount on the purchase of equipment up to 20%;
- unlimited number of purchases according to the 1x1 scheme;
- receiving additional discounts or participating in raffles of valuable prizes (we mean additional promotions for branded goods).
“Total Recycling” in “Eldorado” has several disadvantages:
- not all products of the distribution network that are available are included in the list of promotional products;
- you can buy “not by far new products” (this means new products, but not the latest models).
Is it profitable for the Eldorado network to hold an action?
As we have already said, “Total Recycling” in “Eldorado” is a unique promotional program that allows you to solve the problems of users with large and outdated equipment. However, many have questions. How beneficial is this program to the distribution network itself? And where, in the end, does the technology received from customers go?
Let's start by answering the first question. By and large, this promotion is disadvantageous to the company in terms of financial issues. But ... It allows you to attract the attention of customers, arrange them and, in the language of marketers, "lead away from competitors." Thanks to the Eldorado Utilization campaign, the distribution network is creating an excellent reputation. And most importantly, it saves on advertising, using the most economical option for public notification - word of mouth.
Where does the technique received from users go?
We also answer the second question: "what is being done with the received equipment?" According to preliminary data, the Eldorado distribution network took care of this problem and entered into an agreement with UKO. This company specializes mainly in the processing and disposal of household appliances. The process of disposal of household equipment is carried out according to the following scheme:
- all equipment received as a result of the exchange is transported by truck to special landfills;
- unloaded by workers and sorted (plastic, glass, metal - all separately);
- after separation, all the equipment falls under the press and turns into original briquettes;
- plastic from radio equipment and TVs is crushed into small crumbs;
- compressed and split material is sent as intended.
Where is recycled material used?
Recycled material is most often used in road construction and paving. For example, plastic chips are used during the manufacture of concrete tiles (it is used when laying pavements, sidewalks). Crushed glass from the monitors is added to the concrete mortar, which is suitable both for the construction of the foundation of houses, and for laying roads. Metal molds are being remelted. And precious metals are removed from microcircuits and sent to refineries.

Sometimes when exchanging equipment you can find completely unique things that have not been released for a long time. Some of them can even be called rare.
