Many owners try to design home furniture with their own hands . Ordinary stools can also be built independently. For example, assembling kitchen chairs with your own hands is as simple as that. In this case, you do not need much time, and do not need special knowledge. It is only necessary to draw a drawing of the product, as well as assemble the necessary tool. What tools and materials are needed to work?
Do-it-yourself chairs are made using such equipment:

- jigsaw or fine saw;
- sandpaper and chisels;

- hammer with nails, construction stapler;
- for a folding chair , special fasteners are needed that will ensure reliable fixation of the product in one position.
As for the materials, oak, beech or pine beams for legs (lintels), as well as trim boards for the seat and back are suitable for you. Naturally, the wood should be well-dried and should not contain any cracks, breaks, knots and other flaws. If you want to make do-it-yourself chairs with a soft seat, then you will need foam rubber and upholstery. To fix this material, it is advisable to use glue or a stapler with staples.
How to make a design?
In principle, the process is not difficult. First you need to draw a drawing of the future product on paper. In this case, all sizes are precisely indicated on it. Further, the work is done in a certain sequence:
1. Prepare all the necessary items for the future product. For this purpose, you need to cut 4 bars of the same length, from which you will construct the legs. Now in these elements should be cut grooves for cuts, as well as the base of the seat. Use a chisel for this purpose. At the same stage, try to “cultivate” the bars: it is desirable that the edges become softer, and the transitions from the grooves become smoother. Immediately you need to polish the future legs with sandpaper.
2. Next, we build chairs with our own hands as follows: we make stitches, transverse (longitudinal) bases. Spikes should be cut on them, which without the slightest play will fit snugly into the already prepared grooves.
3. Now you can cut out two bars for the back, and then attach them to the base of the chair.
4. All prepared parts should be sanded and varnished. The edges of the bars can be slightly rounded. Now you should start assembling the structure. At the same time, so that the connection of the spikes with the grooves is as strong as possible, you can additionally fix them with self-tapping screws. Next, you need to build a backrest and seat from a cutting board.
5. Now you can make the chairs soft. To do this, stick the foam on the necessary places.
The stool in this case is constructed in the same way, only without a back.
How to build a folding structure?
Making a folding chair with your own hands is also easy. In this case, you will spend significantly less material than on a regular stool. For this you need wood. A shield is used for the back and front legs. The item presented will be movable. The hind legs are made of
wooden beams. Next, thin slats should be nailed to the back.
As for the seat, it can be constructed from wooden planks, plywood or dense fabric. In order for the product to be fixed in a certain position, special spikes should be cut out on the shield. Metal pins can be used to base the seat.
