The term "chakras" in the Hindu spiritual tradition is considered one of the central. Translated, "chakra" means "wheel", "rotation" (Sanskrit) and is a plexus of energy channels of the subtle body. It is believed that the penetration of perception, creativity, clarity, clarity of thinking, strength of experience, and vivacity of a person depend on the work of these energy vortices. The hierarchy of his personal growth is directly related to the movement of consciousness from the chakra to the chakra.
The starting center, from where the awakening of the kundalini energy begins,
is the chakra of Muladhara (the area of the coccyx / uterus). Svadhistana (organs of the reproductive system), Manipura (navel), Anahata (thoracic center), Vishudha (throat), Aja (pituitary, third eye), Sahasrara (crown) follows from bottom to top.
Chakra Muladhara - "Lower Lotus"
This energy center is located right at the base of the spine, and he
matches red. The base chakra of Muladhara is associated with an element of the Earth, a sense of smell and is responsible for survival. Thanks to the good work of this vortex, a person assimilates everything that feeds him. Usually in a poor or overly materialistic person he is underdeveloped. If balanced, then a person has endurance, courage, knows how to eliminate chaos, finds a way out even of difficult situations. For the reproductive system, procreation is also responsible Muladhara (chakra). Meditation on it will give an impulse for raising the kundalini, awakening the rest of the vortices.
Chakra Svadhisthana - “The Basic Foundation”
Swadhistana is located in the genital area and is one with the element of Water, a sense of taste. This is the second chakra. Kundalini, having reached this level, arouses passion. This chakra corresponds to the orange color. Like the Muladhara chakra, Svadhistana is responsible for sexual energy, but, in addition, also for the ability to receive pleasure, for creative manifestations. The absence of its balance, on the one hand, leads to a dull and dull being, and on the other - to indiscriminate sexual behavior. With a harmonized Swadhistan, a person is able to experience the joy of life, is creative, creatively active.
Chakra Manipura - Diamond Place
In the navel area is Manipura (chakra). This is the third energy center. He is responsible for vision, his element is Fire, the color is golden. The work of the vortex is associated with the ability to achieve the goal, with health, strength. If the Manipura (chakra) is unbalanced, weak, a feeling of depression, anger, resentment may occur. The ability to see the true essence of things worsens, a person becomes ruthless, greedy.
The triad of energy centers: Muladhara, Swadhistan and Manipur (chakra) form the lower triangle, which is the basis for the location of the upper chakras.
Chakra Anahata - the abode of the true "I"
The fourth, heart chakra found its location in the chest area. The awareness of feelings of love, patience, gratitude, compassion depends on how awakened this center is. The green color corresponds to it, and it is one with the element of air, the sense of touch. In the unbalanced state of Anahata, envy, hatred is manifested in a person, he tries only to take and not give anything, and if he interacts, then on terms favorable to him. Here, the individual is most often lonely, denies love. If he has a sexual partner, then the relationship is often suffocating. When the center is in balance, a person radiates love and generosity both to himself and to all those around him.
Chakra Vishuddha - “A Lotus Full of Purity”
The fifth energy vortex in humans is located in the throat area, and the blue and sky colors of the chakras correspond to it. Vishuddha is responsible for hearing
and is associated with the element of ether. If it is well developed, a person interacts with an opponent easily, truthfully. In the opposite case, there are problems with the statement, communication is rude, causes difficulties. A well-developed fifth chakra is a great blessing for communication. Here, a person clearly, weightily, easily explains the course of his thoughts, the listeners clearly understand what he is trying to convey. Listening to a speaker with excellently developed Vishuddha is a great pleasure.
Chakra Ajna - “Palace of Knowledge”
The sixth center is located in the area between the eyebrows. Its oscillation frequency corresponds to blue. It acts very effectively on him, as on other energy vortices, meditation. From this, the chakras become stronger, lead to clarity of mind and a balanced state. Thanks to Ajna, intuition develops. When the center is poorly developed, anxiety, doubt, embarrassment is generated, a person often independently restricts his choice, is present in the wrong place and at the wrong time. The development of this area of the subtle body gives insight, intuitiveness, the ability to take the right steps based on the use of the experience of internal knowledge is developed.
Sahasrara - “Atman's Location”
The seventh,
crown chakra is located in the center of the crown, it corresponds to purple
color. It is directly related to the
pineal gland, the person’s ability to be humble, to feel universality. At this level, the individual begins to be identified with vastness, the universe. If this center is not developed enough, egocentrism may appear, the vision of reality is narrow, a person is aware of himself at the level of the mind, not the soul. Strong Sahasrara allows you to feel a close union with the true "I". Here the vastness of the riches of the spiritual world is comprehensible, the call of one’s own soul is heard. In order to survive such an experience, many seek to open the chakras before the Sahasrara as quickly as possible.
What is the secret of the power of kundalini?
The human body has a large number of energy centers, but the bulk of the teachings focus on the seven above. All colors of chakras on the subtle plan correspond to the colors of the rainbow. Each energy vortex during its opening, the individual experiences subjectively. It all depends on the personal depth of perception, the available information in the channels of the subtle body.
The total energy of man’s past karmas, his life experience - this is the power of kundalini.
It is generally accepted that the conditional repository of kundalini is Muladhara, it is through it that the emergence of power occurs. Rising up along the spinal column, the energy in each subsequent chakra transforms the nodes of the connections of the three channels (Ida, Pingala, Sushumna), fills them with “spiritual electricity”, and new areas of perception become available to the human mind.
How does kundalini affect the transformation of consciousness?
A person’s sense of reality is attributed to the merits of the kundalini, which constantly recreates itself through the chakras. The way the individual identifies himself and with what is his strength.
There are a number of yogic practices that allow you to quickly wake up and raise strength to the higher, crown chakra. But they should be approached with extreme caution. It’s dangerous to independently master such an experience.
The effect obtained from special exercises and techniques quickly dissolves if no changes have occurred in the human mind. Kundalini can wake up spontaneously if one adheres to one-pointedness in meditation.
What happens to a person as the kundalini ascends?
The base chakra of Muladhara is associated with base desires. If the individual’s consciousness “hangs” on this center for a long time, then it is identical to the consciousness of highly developed representatives of the animal world, children or underdeveloped adults. When Muladhara is blocked, everything is subordinated to the fear of survival, but her awakening strengthens her health and helps to reveal “siddhis” (supernormal abilities). Here, during the ascent of energy in the coccyx, small tremors may occur, and energy boiling is felt. This experience can be pleasant or not.
Pleasure, prosperity, and therefore, yet infantile and crude knowledge of the world is absorbed through the chakra of Swadhistan. The vast majority of people live at this level. This can be seen from the fact that the topic of sex is always relevant and widespread for them. In order to “launch” this center, abstinence is recommended. At the time of sexual intercourse, all the energy descends precisely to the area of Swadhistan and is burned there. The accumulated energy will help rise to a higher level. Thanks to it, the clogged channels of the thin body will begin to clean. This period may be accompanied by sexual arousal.
Active Manipura (chakra) gives society the power bosses, strong people. She is responsible for will, submission. The presence of blocks in this center indicates greed, various social experiences, fear, insecurity. When this center opens, a person begins to feel a special power, is able to influence events with a manifestation of personal will, his words are filled with energy, powerful actions are felt in actions.
The three chakras listed above are the level of the average society. The life of spiritual people is built on the four highest energy centers.
The Anahata Chakra, which is responsible for love, has nothing to do with pity, jealousy, affection, possessiveness and selfhood. When a person has worked out all these qualities in himself, then nothing comes from the traditional “love”. Anahata love is a deep, akin to maternal, feeling, where there is no exactingness. Only after this realization does a great spiritual revelation begin. Here, love is unconditional, aimed at all people, and not at a specific subject. At this level, a person experiencing a blissful and self-sufficient experience becomes accessible to the meaning of the Christian dictum: "God is Love."
There are not so many people who have received such spiritual experience. But selfless,
having eliminated their own ego, one can always calculate by the sensations that come when they are near them: peace, harmony, lightness, bliss, quiet joy. I want to stay in their space for as long as possible, to be saturated with warm energy, while the very essence of the conversation is no longer important.
The kundalini that has reached Vishuddhi will never fall below. After crossing this
perception of the flank becomes multifaceted, expanded, an internal genius is born. This is the level of creators of their own reality.
When the kundalini rises to Ajna, then the person begins to feel the subtle world more significant than the physical, manifest plan. Here the illusory nature of individual existence disappears, all reality is a single, energetically vibrating space. At this stage, there is no longer any dependence and “clinging” to fixed ideas, deep wisdom is manifested, omniscience is not limited to narrow concepts.
Enlightenment comes when the Kundalini has reached its cherished center "I AM" - Sahasrara. Behind all the difficulties with the passage of energies through the channels, in the present is absolute self-awareness in the form of pure unconditioned Being.
