Menopause Symptoms in Women and Men

The onset of menopause is not a disease and disruption of the body. This is a transitional state between different phases in a woman’s life, characterized by the cessation of menstruation. Various signs during this period indicate hormonal changes occurring in the female body. Climax symptoms show that before the start of this period, women have high cholesterol and lower bone density. This can lead to various heart diseases.

Menopause comes when the stocks of working eggs in the female ovaries are running out. At the birth of a girl, she has one to three million eggs in her ovaries, which are gradually consumed throughout her life. In a teenage girl, just before the start of the menstrual cycle, only 400,000 eggs remain in the body. By the time of menopause, less than 10,000 eggs remain in the female body.

The most common menopause symptoms in women.

Hot flashes are the most famous of menopause symptoms. According to specialist studies, they are observed during menopause in 75% of women. They pass very individually and begin, as a rule, with an attack of a headache or nausea. Then there is a surge of warmth, increased heart rate and the appearance of a blush. Often, as a result, the pulse quickens and the body temperature rises, even signs of insomnia may occur. Additional climax symptoms may be a burning sensation during urination and urinary incontinence.

Vaginal changes also occur: women can experience pain during intercourse during this period and notice changes in vaginal discharge, since the effect of the hormone estrogen on the lining of the vagina leads to this.

During this period, menopause symptoms are characterized by various dangers for the female body. The most dangerous and common of these is a rapid loss in bone density called osteoporosis (bone irritation). Typically, in most women, the maximum bone density falls on a period of 25-30 years. Then, annually, the density decreases by about 0.13%. During menopause, the process accelerates and reaches the figure of 3% per year. At the end of the menopause, this figure drops to 2% per year. Usually this process does not bring pain, but often leads to osteoporosis, and this increases the risk of cracks in the bones and fractures.

Other important climax symptoms are an increase in blood cholesterol and an increased risk of heart disease. In this case, not only does the increase in total cholesterol occur, but the level of lipoproteins also increases, and this leads to an increased risk of heart disease. But it is not yet fully understood what this is directly connected with, it is possible that the processes of the aging of the body have a greater effect.

Manifestations of menopause symptoms in men.

Menopause usually occurs much more slowly in men than in women and is manifested only by weakening of sexual potency. Sex drive is weakening, but in some cases it may increase. Menopausal neurosis in a man does not have such a clear clinical picture as in a woman. The changes that occur in the cardiovascular system can lead to pain in the heart, bouts of tachycardia, sweating, “hot flashes” of heat to the head and others. Neuropsychiatric disorders are also possible, which are characterized by a decrease in memory, irritability, depression, unreasonable fears, sometimes even psychoses. Changes in the genitourinary system lead to a weakening of potency and impaired urination. This is all due to the weakness of the bladder, as its tone decreases and the state of the prostate gland changes.
