Types of storage devices
The organizer for the office is a device for organizing and storing pens, pencils, scissors, brushes, stickers, pieces of paper, paper clips, buttons and other trifles that we use at the desktop at home and in the office.
They are:
- desktop (clerical stand);
- wall-mounted (e.g. cork board);
- those that are placed in boxes (dividers and drawers).
There are many purchased organizers made of plastic, acrylic, wood. Their main disadvantage is that not all models are suitable for the workplace. For example, your box may have non-standard sizes, and all existing boxes will be either large or small. Separators made with their own hands will meet exactly the sizes that you need. And you can make them from any improvised materials.
DIY cardboard organizer
Such a box for various stationery items looks like it was bought in a store. This is actually a piece of thick cardboard. It is best to use the one that remains from the packaging from under household appliances. Such an organizer from cardboard with your own hands is not difficult, but the work requires special care.
The order of its creation is as follows:
- Take thick cardboard from under the packing box.
- Draw on it all the details and cut them with a clerical knife (see picture above).
- Take a few sheets of white cardboard and glue the organizer parts on it.
- Contour parts. As a result, you should get blanks with white walls.
- Do the same again, just now paste the other side in white.
- If you want, paint the blanks in the desired color.
- Gather all the details together. You should get an organizer frame.
- Cut strips of white cardboard. In width, they should be equal to the thickness of the packaging used for the frame.
- Spread PVA glue on the ends of the organizer and glue the strips of cardboard.
- Glue the two drawers that you collected earlier on the inside with plain white paper for the printer.
All is ready! It remains to put the necessary items here.
The second option is a desktop organizer
This type of device is suitable for those who are engaged in different works: draws, creates postcards and various crafts and so on. After all, it is intended for storing and organizing a large number of pens, felt-tip pens, brushes, pencils and the like.
An organizer is made from a box and cardboard cylinders. You can use those that remain after using toilet paper, T-shirts, foil, cling film or parchment.
We make a desktop organizer with our own hands in the following way:
- Glue the box with colored paper, wallpaper, sticky paper or cloth. The box lid can be used as a pallet. In this case, it also needs to be decorated.
- Cut the cardboard cylinders so that they are all the same length. They should not be too high, because then it will be inconvenient to get stationery. Also do not make cylinders below the box walls. Then no delimiters will be visible.
- Paint prepared cylinders with acrylics or gouache. They can also be pasted over with paper or decorative tape.
- Connect the cylinders with glue (PVA, from a glue gun, etc.). Remember that the tubes must fit in the box. Therefore, their number and assembly depends on the size of the latter.
- When the cylinders stick together, place them inside the box.
The organizer is ready. It remains only to fill it with pens, pencils and another office.
Table drawer order
An organizer will also help to clean up the drawers of the table, and it will not be difficult to make out of the box. Only now you need to take a lot of different boxes that you have collected for so long and finally they came in handy. If you do not have boxes, then make them yourself from thick cardboard.
And now we will learn how to make an organizer for the office with your own hands for the drawer of the table:
- Take all your boxes. Suitable for cereals, cereal, tea, and so on.
- Place the boxes inside the drawer where you need the organizer. Try to place them denser and so that the entire space is full.
- When you have decided how the organizer will look, measure the height of the walls of the desk drawer on each box.
- Cut off the unnecessary part from them.
- Take colored paper, self-adhesive, wallpaper and paste over each box. You can use both one color and many different shades. The box needs to be glued from the inside, since it is the inner part that will be visible.
- Re-place the finished boxes inside the box. If they do not fit tightly together, you can connect them together using glue or double-sided tape.
Bright organizer for the drawer is ready. In it you can store writing objects, small stationery (buttons, paper clips, erasers), scissors, a stapler and much more, and it is easy to find objects in a specific place.
We use the walls
Wall organizers help to remove some objects from the table, thereby increasing the working space. And if you approach the creation of a panel creatively, then it can also become a piece of art.
We give instructions on how to make an organizer for the office with your own hands, so that it can be hung on the wall:
- Take a piece of beautiful fabric. You can use the old curtain.
- Make several holes on one side and process their edges. Instead of holes, you can attach loops.
- Take a few shreds and cut them into pieces to make pockets. They do not have to be rectangular. For example, you can make pockets triangular.
- Fold the pockets on the canvas so that you are comfortable using them. To do this, think about what you are going to store in them.
- Pin the shreds to the fabric with a sewing pin.
- Take a thick thread (for example, woolen) and sew with large stitches of a pocket.
- You can also make loops. To do this, sew the rectangles on two opposite sides.
The organizer is ready. It remains to drive a couple of nails into the wall and hang it in place.
