Biography
Seliverstov Alexey Nikolaevich was born in Ufa in 1976. His parents wanted his son to go in for sports. Which one - Alyosha himself chose. And he went to athletics. The guy reached the candidate for master of sports and began to do weightlifting, in particular powerlifting. In this sport, Alex also achieved success in the form of CCM.
The guy successfully combined training with the work of a fireman in one of the calculations of Ufa. In 2000, Alexei graduated from the Academy of Physical Culture in the Urals.
Once in training, a coach Rustem Faizov approached him and asked if he wanted to participate in international competitions. So Alexey Seliverstov came to bobsleigh. He was at that time 20 years old.
In 2001, Seliverstov was engaged not only in bobsledding. He was also responsible for physical training in the riot police of Bashkiria.
Sport
In 1995, Alexei went to Italy as part of the youth team. Two years later, preparations began for the first Olympics in life. Competitions were held in Nagano, and the Russians took 19th place.
At the next Salt Lake City Olympics, the bobsledding team improved to 16th place. The victory in the form of bronze medals came at the 2003 World Cup. Alexei and his comrades felt the taste of victory, because it was the first team podium in this sport.
