There is no such man who would not be fond of fishing. Catching fish is not just a livelihood, it is rest in body and soul. Almost any person will not refuse to taste smoked fish cooked in "home-made", and even in this form it will be stored much longer.
So, what is needed to make a smokehouse for fish with your own hands. It does not provide complex structures, and the material can be found in your garage or pantry.
A very primitive way is to use an old ten-liter tank as a smoke tank, but it should not be thin. As a baking sheet, a grate or rods are used. In the first case, do-it-yourself smokehouses for fish can be two-tiered; in the second case, the poles are spot-welded at the same level, crossing, and the fish suspended by hooks. It is better to choose the lattices from stainless steel, since the zinc present in ordinary iron starts to stand out and settle on fish when heated.

To do this, a small channel is welded on the long sides by spot welding, on which the grate is located. The lid should be flat, not deformed, with a handle and fit snugly against the box. The third way. Electric smokehouse, made by oneself, more complicated in design. Its sizes can be different, depending on the volume of fish that you plan to cook. Some craftsmen use a non-working refrigerator without internal parts as a box, old gas stoves or make it from sheet metal 2 mm thick.
A feature of the electric smokehouse is that it is not open fire that is used as a heating element, but an electric burner built into the smoke box. At the top there are poles for hanging fish.
A bowl with nut sawdust is installed on the burner, a baking sheet is placed on top to reduce heat, tightly closed with a lid, and everything, you can start smoking.
