And melodies are created thanks to bamboo stems swaying from the breeze of a breeze. As a result, melodious sounds appear that resemble the popular wind bells in the East. Many visitors claim that these notes are truly hypnotic.
The area of the grove reaches 16 square meters. km The whole bamboo grove (photo - in the article) is dotted with walking paths, on both sides bordered by a railing made of dried bamboo stems. Mostly bamboo trees of the Moso species imported from China grow here. This species has a unique feature - they quickly become higher. In one month they reach a height of 20 meters with a diameter of up to 20 centimeters.
Very thin and tall trunks of slender bamboo trees, closing, form a beautiful green tunnel. While walking along the grove, it seems that the environment is exactly the same, but the eyes from this picture do not get tired. The grove is magnificent in any weather, and the “song” of bamboo is especially clearly and vividly heard in the rain.

In addition to the remarkable and unusual vegetation, in the Bamboo Grove of Japan there is a pond called the Sojen. It is surrounded by mountains and temple buildings.

Not far from the forest stands the ancient Tenryu-ji temple (Zen Buddhist), which is included in the UNESCO list. The neighborhood of temples with the Sagano grove is not accidental. The Japanese believe that an evergreen can protect against evil spirits. For this reason, bamboo groves are planted around many temples in Japan.
