International organizations of the world are associations of a non-state and interstate nature that are created on the basis of agreements in order to achieve certain goals. They are:
1. Interstate. In this case, states or state institutions join the union. Such associations operate on the basis of a signed agreement.
2. Non-governmental or non-governmental - this is a union of individuals or legal entities from different countries. It is based on common interests, goals in the political, civil, economic and civil spheres.
The legislation of not every country allows the creation of international organizations of the world or restricts their activities to one degree or another. The scope of their activities is determined by the Charter.
At the moment, there is no special procedure for granting any associations the status of people. This occurs in accordance with the provisions of the charter. There are some criteria specific to non-governmental organizations:
the goals set must necessarily be for solving problems of world significance;
activities related to the achievement of the above objectives;
participants must be from at least two different countries;
The state of registration may only be chosen by the original founders.
Among other things, transnational public organizations themselves and their representatives may be in the capacity of observers or consultants to intergovernmental associations.
