Latte

In Italy, quite a lot of coffee cocktails based on โ€œlatteโ€ (milk) are popular. This is a classic coffee latte, latte with cinnamon, nuts, ice, ice cream, chocolate, whipped cream, etc. Sometimes alcohol is added to it, for example, a little amaretto or rum. Gourmets appreciate cocktails with syrups specially designed for coffee drinks, among which blackcurrant syrup gives the most successful combination.

However, in the historical homeland of this wonderful drink it is still not loved as passionately as in Europe, because hot Italians prefer strong coffee. Europeans and Russians living in more moderate latitudes were able to truly appreciate precisely latte - coffee with milk foam. This foam is much more magnificent and airy in comparison with cappuccino. The drink is served in an irish glass or in a high glass (highball) with a thin tube

True coffee lovers know that latte coffee is a layered smoothie consisting of espresso, milk and airy milk foam. A properly prepared drink should consist of a third of espresso (you can use other types of strong coffee instead of americano instead) and two-thirds of frothed milk. However, quite often the drink is prepared in proportions one to one. It all depends on your taste.

Making latte coffee will require the following components. This is a coffee machine, a coffee machine or an ordinary Turk, filtered water, Prezisio, Intenso, Delicato, Deka coffee , milk (optimally 3.5% fat), a pitcher for whipping it, a highball or irish glass, creamer (cup with a nose) and a cloth napkin .

In Italy, a drink at home is made from mocha and a cup of warm milk. In Europe, espresso is often used for this, which is poured with hot milk, coating it with milk foam on top.

When cooking, you need to remember that you need to add milk to coffee, and not vice versa. Then you get a beautiful layered cocktail with a rich taste.

To make a drink at home, grab a latte and pour one serving of espresso into it . If coffee is brewed in a Turk and not a coffee maker, then strain it first through a sieve to separate the grounds. Heat the milk using a steam outlet of the coffee maker, top it up with coffee. Sugar can be added after mixing or during the heating of milk. On top of the drink you need to decorate with milk foam. It is whipped in the pitcher. Pour milk chilled to 4-5 degrees to half or a little more. Beat until milk is heated to 60 degrees (about 15 seconds). At higher temperatures, the foam begins to decrease.

On top of the drink you can decorate the original pattern, however, not everyone can do it. Today, painting latte coffee with a wooden stick has become a real art called latte art. Serve your guests coffee on a napkin.

To achieve beautiful layering, a cocktail can be composed in this order. First, milk is poured at the bottom of the glass, a layer of milk foam is laid on it. Then espresso is poured into the middle of the glass with a very thin stream. Due to the fact that the temperature of coffee is higher than foam and lower than milk, the layers do not mix with each other.

If you want to make latte coffee with syrup, you can use this recipe. Make black coffee or espresso from one tablespoon of finely ground coffee. Pour about 20 ml of syrup (any other than citrus, from which milk may curdle) into an irish glass. Prepare frothed milk using a coffee machine or milk frother. Pour it over the syrup into a glass. Then, in a thin stream, slowly pour the brewed coffee along the wall of the glass and put milk foam over the resulting cocktail. Done. Have a nice coffee!
