How wonderful to recall something from a distant childhood. Such things plunge us into that distant world, allowing the flow of memories and emotions to capture us and entail us. One of these little things is the game "Monopoly", the rules of which, of course, we have forgotten. It’s good that they can be freshened up on the page with this publication.
So, we started. Toy "Monopoly", the rules of which are real estate management, involves the following:
- purchase of building land;
- construction of buildings on it (houses and hotels);
- trade with the bank and players;
- payment of taxes and fines;
- collection of profits from your buildings (when the enemy gets on your property);
In this case, the victory goes to the richest and the most dodgy.
The rules of "Monopoly" are such that even six people can play it. First, a banker is appointed, who gives each of the players 1,500 rubles. But you can not give out money, then the game can be dragged on for a long time. After that, everyone rolls a die, and each player’s turn order is determined.
The main thing here is to try to buy all the land in one color sector in order to start building real estate on it. This is what the "Monopoly" is showing itself to. The rules are designed for this, so that investing more, receive the corresponding profit. But you can also incur losses by falling into various fines, taxes, natural disasters, or even in prison. This is the whole charm of such a rule. Monopoly is a realistic game, albeit a board game. She imitates life as much as possible, allowing the player to be in the role of a real estate manager of some respectable company.
At each transition through the start, each of the participants receives a long-awaited salary of 1,500 rubles. In the process of moving around the field, you will come across surprises in the cards “chance” and “public treasury”, which significantly embellishes the course of the game, making it even more interesting.
The player needs to collect as many cards of the same color as possible, that is, become a monopolist. Therefore, the game was called "Monopoly". The rules are also designed to teach the player the ability to conduct transactions. After all, the degree of its success depends on this.
The game also teaches a cautious attitude to monetary resources and minimizing the risks that arise when the business is unreasonable and risky.
The American dream
The game "Monopoly" has been released by Parker Brothers since 1935. She appeared on the market under the following circumstances. In 1934, the unemployed engineer Charles Darrow came up with the idea to create a game in which one could trade real estate. At first, the Parkers did not see anything unusual in her and refused the inventor.
However, Charles did not stop there and, at his own peril and risk, ordered the 5000th edition of the game from the printing house, which sold out in no time. Seeing the success of the entrepreneurial Darrow, Parker Brothers acquired the rights to Monopoly. A year later, she became the most popular game in the United States. Darrow himself received the title of "living embodiment of the American dream."
This is how this legendary game was created through thorns and difficulties. And every business that needs to be started from scratch undergoes the same. But you can learn how to overcome difficulties today, just by purchasing the "Monopoly".
