For such a seasonal "parking" you will have to pay at least 1 thousand rubles, and this provided that the boat will have a length of less than 4-5 meters. If its length and dimensions are larger, respectively, and the price of the trailer will increase. Therefore, you should remember the following: the height of the loaded trailer should be no more than 3.8 meters, width 2.2 meters, and the length of the device together with the tractor (in this case a car or SUV) should not exceed 20 meters. Of course, you ask: "How can you not keep within such a size?" But if your boat is really big (and this is not uncommon today), even if it is a low loader trailer, the dimensions in height will turn out to be 4 meters or even more. Therefore, carefully calculate the size of your boat and combine them with the length of the future trailer.
Chassis
When making boat trailers with your own hands, special attention should also be paid to the axles and suspension parts. Here it is necessary to decompose the efforts on the supporting structure so that the distribution of the curb weight of the boat is about 70 percent at the front (that is, where the hitch) and 30 percent at the rear. This is done in order to make the hitch move along the road with maximum safety and maneuverability. Judge for yourself: what will happen to the car if the back of the trailer will have up to 3 tons of cargo? Then the 500-kilogram “back” of your passenger car will simply rise along with the tow hitch, and you are unlikely to be able to make a movement on such a car.

All main and supporting frame elements must be connected exclusively with a welding machine. At the same time, you should not choose too thick a channel, as this will significantly increase the weight of an empty trailer. And this, in turn, is an additional load on the tires, engine, gearbox, and, finally, on the total fuel consumption. Therefore, if you make boat trailers with your own hands, use light, but at the same time strong structural elements.
