FAR is a corporation that brings together automotive human rights organizations and active groups to consolidate efforts to protect the rights of Russian car owners. It was founded in 2006.

History of creation
The reason for the creation of the FAR (Federation of Russian Car Owners) was a new decree signed in 2005, which prohibited the import and operation of right-hand drive cars in Russia.
A year later, namely May 19, 2006, a meeting was held consisting of representatives of regional organizations and movements. It is worth noting that everyone had similar problems, so they solved them together.
The result of the meeting was the decision to create the Federation of Car Owners of Russia.

Control
The highest governing body in the PAR is the members of the organization, whose congress is carried out regularly.
Between congresses, if necessary, the FAR Coordinating Council may convene. It includes representatives of each region of the country. The Coordinating Council interacts with all structures of business, government and society at the federal level.
It may include any member of the PAR. All you need to do is apply. It is important to be in the organization for at least a year. One representative from each region is elected to the council, regardless of how many groups of companies are in this region.

FAR Membership
Any public organization officially registered in the Russian Federation can become a member of the FAR. Also, a company that wants to join the FAR should not have an official status and must share the principles of the Federation.
FAR is not the governing structure of regional organizations. The Federation is engaged in the design and lobbying of the interests of the social group of car owners and the provision of an information platform for all figures of the corporation.

- Gas station monitoring. FAR has created an application for mobile devices that allows you to see all the gas stations in Russia. In addition, there is a description for each gas station, which indicates the quality of gasoline, its price, etc.
- Award "safety is everyone’s business". It is assigned to organizations that have made the greatest contribution to the development of road safety in the Russian Federation.

Directions
In total, there are 4 areas of activity of the Federation of Car Owners of Russia:

- Legal defense. The organization has always told car owners: "Know your rights." On the Web, users can often see information about promotions allegedly held by the Russian Federation of Motorists. However, most often this information is false. FAR has no relation to the events. Such false actions are usually committed by former members of the Federation who were expelled from it for certain reasons. These participants are:
- Kirill Formanchuk. Declares that he is the President of the Far Eastern Federal Republic in the Sverdlovsk region, however, Cyril was expelled from the organization in August 2011.
- Vladimir Kirillov. He calls himself the coordinator of the Federal Aviation Administration of the Novosibirsk Region (expelled in December 2011).
- Alexey Nosov. Assigned the status of the head of the press service of the Federation (also expelled in December 2011).
- Yuri Shulipa. Names himself the head of the PAR (excluded in September 2012).
- Vadim Korovin. He claims to motorists that he is the coordinator of the PAR (excluded in March 2013).
The Federation of Motorists of Russia reports that the actions taken by the above representatives do not reflect the organization’s position and have nothing to do with it.
On practice
They say that the FAR is an organization that helps both guilty and innocent motorists.
It is worth noting that some users claim that the Federation did not render them proper assistance.
