Germany is one of the countries that today raises the issue of labor shortages, understanding that the development of the country's economy is ensured by attracting immigration forces. If domestic labor resources are not enough in the country due to low demographic growth, the influx of new labor is one of the indicators of the success of the development of the state economy. At the same time, the country's immigration policy has a very strict framework for applicants who want to get a job and place of residence in Germany. Preference, as in any other country, is given, first of all, to qualified specialists, and to people whose age has not reached 30 years.
Reasons why immigration to Germany is preferred
The desire to immigrate to the Federal Republic of Germany is understandable for many reasons for a number of reasons:
- high level of social security;
- high level of medical care;
- a relatively low crime rate;
- comfortable conditions for business development.
And many other reasons why those who decided to change their country of residence chose Germany. Those who are interested in immigration to Germany can take the help of professionals who provide such services. But, before deciding how to act, what steps to take: to turn to specialists or perform all the actions yourself, you need to know the grounds on which to obtain a legal right for immigration, and who is given such a right.
Family reunion
Immigration to Germany for those in whom one of the spouses is a German citizen or has a residence permit is possible if the residence permit is issued in case of:
- that one spouse received his residence permit for political asylum;
- One of the spouses has been living in the country for a period of more than 8 years and received his status as a minor.
Here, however, it should be correctly understood that when issuing a residence permit to restore a family, the main condition will be that this family was actually already created before one of the spouses received a residence permit. In another way, a residence permit can be obtained:
- for minor children whose parents are German citizens;
- for parents who bring up minor German citizens.
Ethnic Germans
In this category, I can repatriate to my homeland, those who have at least one of their parents recorded in a birth certificate as German. The problem with this category of citizens is that it is necessary to provide maximum evidence of the presence of German roots and, in addition, as for the remaining categories, pass the test for knowledge of the German language. As a result of the test, knowledge should not be lower than level A1 (elementary conversational level).
Jewish immigration
A separate species is Jewish immigration to Germany. On this line, candidates wishing to repatriate must meet the following conditions:
- One of the parents must be Jewish, only the first generation of Jewry is considered, that is, the previous kindred tribes are not subject to consideration (grandparents). Moreover , the birth certificate of a parent of Jewish nationality must be issued no later than 1990. Documents received after this deadline are not subject to review.
- The applicant for Jewish immigration was to be born in one of the countries of the USSR, except for the Baltic states, while he had not previously repatriated to Israel. He must have basic knowledge of the German language.
- The candidate should not have a criminal record.
- He should not have held key, leading posts in the former USSR.
- The applicant must profess Judaism and have and maintain ties with the Jewish communities of Germany (for which additional verification is created)
Business immigration
For other categories of citizens, immigration to Germany from Russia in the absence of opportunities to obtain a residence permit according to the criteria listed above is possible with the option "business immigration to Germany".
Earlier, AufenthG law for obtaining a residence permit established the need to register an organization (GmbH) in Germany with a registered capital of at least 250 thousand euros and create jobs of at least 5, while the manager must have been a German citizen. With the new regulation of August 1, 2012, these requirements have decreased. Now, to register a company, it is necessary to make a minimum size of the authorized capital equal to 25,000 euros (this amount is standard for all German citizens). In this case, the amount can be paid by installments, for the opening of the company it is enough to make only 50%. There is also no requirement to provide evidence that the created company is of particular economic interest to Germany.
This type of immigration is optimal if there are no other options listed above. It should be remembered that immigration to Germany in connection with the opening of a business does not provide any special benefits and privileges. You should be aware that this is not about obtaining citizenship of the country. In this case, only a residence permit is issued, which can be extended for the duration of the entire company. Acquisition of permanent residence and citizenship of the country will take place on the general grounds provided for by the German law on immigration.
