Everyone knows the winged expression, borrowed from the "Bible" about the fact that you need to love your neighbor, that is, a person in the broad sense of the word, as yourself. Why is it today it has become so often exaggerated in the media, and even in ordinary everyday speech?
Yes, because more and more often our society is shocked by facts in which hatred of people transcends all borders! Maniacs, alcoholics, hooligans - it is clear, these are all subjects with a disturbed psyche. But today various currents are gaining momentum, in which people, not just normal, but with pronounced “right” behavior, become weapons of extermination for their own kind.
For example, the youth subculture, whose members are called streytagers, the postulates of their behavior is the refusal of drugs and alcohol, smoking and sexual intercourse without love. They extol honesty, fidelity and respect for elders, protection of the rights of animals and nature. All this, of course, is extremely laudable. And it’s not even clear what the conversation is about, and what is more, hatred of people. And the connection is the most direct.
Particularly loyal to the ideas of a healthy lifestyle and protecting animals, they develop in themselves biocentrism of such power that they begin to commit illegal actions in order to change everything around them. They destroy shops selling meat or furs, beat people who smoke before their eyes or drink. Such campaigns often end in serious injury and may even result in death. The members of the organization themselves believe that someone who does not value someone else's life (for example, chicken or even fish) is not worth it. Is this not hatred of people?
The same goes for pseudo-patriots. With the slogans "Russia for Russians!" skinheads smash stalls and markets, slaughter people with dark skin and hair to death. Not only visiting foreigners, that is, people from neighboring countries, but also a huge number of those born and raised in Russia, those who consider it their only homeland and have almost no less patriotism, fall under the “distribution”. This hatred of people the leaders of such groups are even more fueling them by effortlessly managing young people as they see fit. In this situation it’s even difficult to say whose role is worse: the skins themselves or their adult leadership.
The question arises by itself: what are the causes of aggression? Why is one person ready to give the homeless last shirt, and the other with pleasure kicks the dirty kid - a beggar. It’s not worth all to row under one comb: anyone can lose their shelter and livelihoods. But to apply violence to already already destitute people is at least immoral and cruel.
As it turned out, the reason lies on the surface! Such a malicious attitude towards people who are at a lower level of morality or who do not correspond to the individual's idea of decency is a mental illness and is called misanthropy. And it is often people who are intellectually developed, cultural, even talented and creative, who suffer from it. They limit themselves to a narrow circle of acquaintances, try to avoid human gatherings. And in their works (sometimes very talented), these people gradually propagate violence and hatred of those living nearby.
How to get rid of hatred? How to cleanse the world from evil? These are rhetorical questions. Misanthropy is incurable, as many psychologists say. But if she is still just trying to put her roots in your soul, tear it out of her heart without regret! After all, if every single individual purifies himself of hatred and evil, then together we will become kinder and cleaner.
Our whole society is very imperfect. Corrections are even required by the system of state punishment, designed to re-educate the stupid. However, in fact, the opposite is true: even "not so distant" people who got to places, committed misconduct due to negligence, who did not have evil in their hearts, returned from there embittered. And this way of re-education gives rise to another round of aggression.
