When the nail broke

At first, this does not lead to a crack, but after several such bends, it can straighten it, keratin fibers break in its thickness and there comes a moment when the nail itself cracks, and then it breaks.
This usually occurs in the lower third of the nail bed at the lateral ridges. The crack is painful, and it is not possible to simply cut the length to it. Such a case is a classic for silk. A small piece of material is cut with special small scissors to the size of the nail plate and carefully adjusted to its size.
One of the means for fixing silk on the nail is fixed and left until the crack or tear is completely fused. This "patch" can be varnished, gel varnished or any other material, including for building.
Instructions for use
For nail repair, there are special kits containing everything you need. It contains silk (in a roll or in already cut rags), glue, sometimes acrylic powder. It is convenient to take on the road. At the workplace of a manicurist, a hand sanitizer, a degreasing agent, a solvent for glue, a nail file and buffs, an acrylic brush and monomer, scissors for silk, various varnish materials are added to it.
The following devices are prepared at home before the procedure:
- Scissors.
- Silk for repairing nails.
- Alcohol-containing composition for degreasing.
- A wash for varnish.
- Cotton buds and orange sticks.
- Lacquer base and top.
How to repair a nail with silk:
- The nail is cleaned and degreased with alcohol.
- Cut a piece of silk according to the size of the nail.
- Apply a thin layer of glue to the nail.
- Distribute the cut silk on the nail, helping with an orange stick.
- Immediately remove the glue on the side rollers with an orange stick. If the glue has dried, clean it with a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover.

If you have a manicure lamp and the necessary materials in this way, you can even lengthen the nails of non-professionals. To make the elongation large, this method will not work. To significantly lengthen the nail, use not only silk for nails, but also special gels. At home, not everyone can perform such a procedure: you will need to acquire special professional gels and have the skill of substituting a form.
Description of the procedure:
- Perform standard preparation of nails for artificial coating.
- Cut silk on the nail.
- Bondex is applied to the nail.
- A base gel is applied to the nail and the cut silk is drowned into it, after which it is dried in UV.
- Spread the nail bed with an extension of pink gel, dried in UV.
- Substitute the form.
- Gel is applied to the free edge for a smile, dried in UV.
- Stretch gel reinforcement is performed, dried in UV.
- Model the nail with a transparent gel, dried in UV.
- Remove the dispersion, file and grind the nail.
- Coated with top gel, dried in UV, remove the dispersion.
