Nail extension technique

Nail extension is carried out using various techniques. For the procedure, use gel, acrylic, false nails , etc. The latter option is the simplest and cheapest, but often the look of the nails is unnatural. The most popular materials currently are special gel and acrylic. As a result, durable, flexible, resilient and elastic nails are obtained.

False nail extension technique

Made of nylon or plastic, they are sold in many stores and have various shapes, lengths and colors. Natural nails are degreased and put on a base varnish, glue on it. Then attach the nail itself and grind it, adjusting the shape. Artificial tips (tips) can also be used. In this case, the free edge of the nail is slightly cleaned, and the tip is grinded under its shape. Then there is a fixation with glue. The seam is polished and the glue is applied again.

Acrylic nail extension technique

It can be performed by using a special form, substituted under the nail plate, thus increasing the size of a real nail. Then, on top, so that the transition was not noticeable, a second layer of acrylic mass is applied. The composition quickly freezes. Using special powders added to acrylic, it is given a natural color. Acrylic can be easily removed using a special solvent. The disadvantage is that it has a specific smell, which disappears over time. It is also possible to use instead of the shape of tips - blanks in the shape of nails. Usually they are made of materials that are used in the building itself. They are mainly used when the nail has no free edge.

Gel Nail Extension Technique

First of all, nail preparation is carried out. The hands are disinfected, the cuticle is removed with an unedged method. The surface of the nail is polished and, thus, the upper grease film is removed. This is necessary for better adhesion of the nail plate and material. A special primer is applied to the nail to remove excess fluid. Then a plate is created that will serve as the basis for manicure. It is attached to the nail, then a gel is applied to it, which smoothes the surface, gives a glossy shine.

This nail extension technique for fixing the material involves the use of an ultraviolet lamp, the effect of which also prevents the development of fungal diseases. After the gel has hardened, it is polished, it is coated with varnish, the nails are painted, and then they are decorated with various decorative elements. The technique of nail extension on the forms has its advantages, as they are easily removable. Tips can also be used that adhere to the nail plates, and then gel over them for extension. The duration of the procedure takes up to 3 hours.

The technique of gel nail extension is widespread due to the fact that it does not require large expenses, and the service life is about 4 months. It is only necessary to undergo a correction procedure every 2 or 3 weeks. The gel allows the nail to β€œbreathe”, as it does not close the pores of the nail plate and therefore does no harm.

The technique of nail extension prescribes some rules. In particular, it is not recommended to perform this procedure during the course of antibiotics, with fungal infections of the nails, with chemotherapy. The cuticle must not be damaged. It is advisable to do a trimmed manicure two or three days before the procedure.

After building up the nails, care must be taken to avoid bumps. It is advisable to have a special glue with you in order to apply it on time to the resulting cracks.
