However, if the owner for some reason could not take care of the animal or simply abandoned it, it can get angry at everyone and attack the person in search of food. In this regard, more and more people began to appear who call themselves doghunters. They are opposed by animal defenders. Doghunter is a man who kills dogs. It is necessary to understand the situation and to understand whether the society of dog hunters has a right to exist. Also, for example, the situation with people killing wild dogs will be examined . But who is a dog hunter? How can these people kill and poison animals just like that?
Doghunters are opposed to stray dogs of any breed running around the city streets. But what is the fault of the animals that were abandoned by their owners?

To those whose English is even at an elementary level, it is easy to guess that the dog hunter is a dog hunter. Such people began to appear recently. The community of dog hunters is growing. Most often they poison dogs with poison, which will be described below. Numerous opponents of this movement are trying in every possible way to interfere with the activity of killing dogs, but for some people the opinion about the work of dog hunters remains completely opposite.

However, the program began to work only in 2008, and in most cities it stopped due to a number of problems arising from the fact that the number of stray dogs not only did not decrease, but also increased. True, in several regions the sterilization program is still in effect. Catching dogs in these cities is also prohibited by law, which many residents do not like.
The emergence of movement in Russia
People dissatisfied with the sterilization program began to unite in dog hunter groups in 2007. There was a real fight with animal rights advocates who insisted that it was unacceptable to resort to killings. Several independent sites were closed. Nevertheless, the not very successful confrontation with the doghunters could not prevent the spread of the movement. And already in 2010, the site “No Pests” was created, on which people who engage in stalking stray dogs still communicate today. Thus, a union of dog hunters took place.
Opinions for bullying
Many citizens advocate the continuation of the activity of dog hunters, since wild dogs can also kill a person. Residents of some cities are afraid for their children. There are places in Russia where people are afraid to let their kids go out alone. A large number of wild dogs flock in packs and often attack the inhabitants in search of food. Therefore, often people themselves call for the help of dog hunters who solve the problem, albeit not quite the right way, according to many, but effective.
Opinions versus community activities
Most residents, as already mentioned, consider this method of solving the problem with wild dogs unacceptable. Many share the view that it is necessary to find a way out of the situation with stray animals, but not by such means. It’s hard to call baiting in a humane way. Where it is better to send a stray dog for treatment and then transfer to a shelter. But there are several facts that impede the implementation of such an undertaking.

In the summer of 2007, several murders occurred in Dnepropetrovsk. Caught during the investigation, Viktor Saenko and Igor Suprunyuk, the media called Dnepropetrovsk maniacs. It is known that they killed 21 people.
For a whole year and a half they tortured and killed dogs and cats. Their bullying was filmed on video. But this was not enough for them, they became maniacs and hunted not for dogs, but for people.
As you know, it all started with the fact that classmates decided to overcome their fear of blood. I must say, they did it. They killed their victims most often with improvised devices. Much of this was filmed on camera.
One of the videos hit the Internet. One of the criminals on him expressed bewilderment as a man could survive after the maniacs tortured him with a screwdriver. But these terrible people are not doghunters.
Description of doghunters
Many people, as already mentioned, consider as doghunters absolutely all animal killers. But this is not so, because the representatives of the movement do not enjoy the torment of wild dogs and do not torture them. This community also does not kill cats. This can be explained by the fact that such creatures will not attack people, they are physically weaker, and therefore do not pose a direct danger to society. Host animals are also not subject to destruction. Dog poisoning is not practiced with them. Doghunters have their own cared for pets. However, there remains the possibility of poisoning by poison and domestic dogs, but only if they eat waste.
A doghunter is by no means an unbalanced person and not a teenager. Most often these are adults. Their society is concerned about security, not the destruction of everyone and everything.

Some people simply have a negative attitude to bullying, while others zealously advocate for dogs. Many believe that the problem must be solved, but do not use methods such as killing or bullying. For example, Olga Markelova, the founder of the only club of purebred dog owners in the Northern capital , put forward a proposal to combat dog hunters through education among pet owners who should:
- do not breed dogs without muzzles (this applies to crowded places);
- follow the rules of pet walking;
- train your dogs.
This is the right approach, because it is necessary to solve the problem fundamentally. But what to do with already abandoned dogs?
The way to solve the problem

We need to look for sponsors who would allocate money for the creation of shelters and other similar institutions. The same opinion is shared by most Russians.

But how do representatives of the movement condemned by many see themselves out of the situation? And how do doghunters poison dogs? Due to the fact that poisons are banned in Russia, these people use a variety of high-dosage drugs. Isonicotinic acid hydrazide is one of the most common methods. If it is not dangerous for humans (of course, in small doses), then for animals even a small volume can become fatal. How do doghunters poison dogs besides this drug? By various means, especially toxic precisely for these animals. The poisoning effect affects the absorption of pyrodixins by brain cells, which leads to death. Metoclopramide is also often used, but only as an adjuvant. A dog poisoned by him will feel unwell only after an hour and a half. Lack of glucose and poisoning by components leads to death. - 2 large syringes (10 ml each);
- 4 packs of activated carbon;

- Furosemide or Lasix.
Doghunter Day
On January 13, 2010, doghunters from St. Petersburg, due to the growing threat of African swine fever , massively shot stray dogs in one of the regions of the region. This date is now considered the "professional holiday" of the dog hunter, albeit unofficial. And today, such massive shootings continue. It all happened due to the fact that the purebred dog of a doghunter was badly crippled by stray dogs. Then Dmitry got on his SUV and shot the offenders directly from the window with an air rifle. A doghunter is, therefore, a person who destroys stray dogs in this way.

Until a humane way is found to combat the increase in the number of stray dogs, the ranks of the movement's followers will replenish. Zoodefenders oppose dog hunters, but so far not very successfully. If animals continue to attack people, there will always be those who try to eradicate the problem in the most cruel way. Until various shelters and establishments are built in which the dogs receive treatment, the dog hunter movement will continue to operate. But for good purposes, you need a lot of money, and for this someone must become a sponsor: either a private organization or the state.
