What is the classification of PTT and its features

On December 7, 1999, the Russian Tennis Federation established the non-profit partnership PTT - Russian Tennis Tour. The purpose of its creation is the operational management of the entire system of competitions held in Russia. This organization has a certain set of responsibilities that should simplify a number of tasks.

Tour Responsibilities

1. Development of various documents, such as the RTT Rules or Regulations, which will determine the general procedure for organizing and conducting tennis competitions throughout the country.

2. Drawing up a calendar of competitions in Russia (for each year).

3. Implementation of the selection of the organizers of tennis tournaments and their certification.

4. Control over refereeing, holding, organizing scheduled tournaments.

5. Maintaining and preparing various documents (such as classification of PTT or statistical, informational materials that may be requested from the FCS).

What is a Tour Classification

According to the Regulation, the PTT classification itself is a list of tennis players sorted by number of points, registered and constantly participating in the Tour.

There is an official site of the Russian Tennis Federation on which you can familiarize yourself with all the provisions, updates and data related to the issue of a sport such as tennis. The PTT classification and other documents are edited annually taking into account all the necessary circumstances. On the same site you can find a classification table. It is conveniently organized: a search is possible by last name and initials, player registration number (RNI). Here you can also see a list of participants from a specific city or age category.

The classification is divided by the gender of athletes - men and women. Also, according to the Tour regulations, the PTT classification of players occurs, as mentioned above, according to age criteria. So, starting from nine years old, children and young men of both sexes are divided into five categories: up to 12, 14, 16 and 18 years. And then comes the general classification for adult men and women without any age restrictions. Data is updated once a month every first day.

What affects the number of points of tennis players

Points in the classification are credited for two points:

- for places that were occupied in a particular PTT tournament;

- for the strength that the player has demonstrated.

At the same time, each individual tennis player is influenced by the performance of other players. The composition of the participants and the category of the tournament, the strength and qualification numbers of the opponents - all these data are taken into account when determining the number of points for each athlete. For a more detailed acquaintance, you can use the Regulation on the classification of the Russian TT, which provides detailed formulas for calculating the strength of participants and their detailed description.

Type of classification and its purpose

This PTT classification is a convenient way to control the competition system. So, with its help they determine the composition of future participants, make up tournament grids and easily compare the results shown by athletes.

The classification table format consists of ten columns, in which the following information appears:

- classification number assigned to the player;

- name of the athlete (full name), his date of birth and hometown;

- player field;

- registration number of the participant (RNI);

- information about the coach and the club for which the athlete is registered;

- age group;

- quantitative indicators (how many tournaments, matches, victories, points).

All this classification is compiled on the basis of the data received by the RTT and BTA in the form of reports on past competitions.
