Every working person in Russia has a work book. According to the Labor Code, this is a document that confirms the experience of the employee, where the data on the positions held, on the periods of work, on the grounds on which the citizen quit is recorded.

In addition, his data is certified by the seal of the organization and signatures of responsible persons. In case of loss of the work book, the applicant must submit an application for the issuance of a new document to him. In order not to lose the experience of the previous work, he will have to remember all the places of work up to this point and try to restore all the records. After making a record of employment, the employer assumes responsibility for the storage of work books. Often for various organizations you need to provide a copy of this document, for example, upon receipt of a passport. In such cases, the employee must provide within 3 days a copy of this document, certified by the seal of the organization and the signature of the responsible person.

Registration of labor books should be carried out strictly in accordance with the requirements of the Labor Code. The wording of the wording of the articles of the Customs Code, their parts and paragraphs is mandatory. The basis for entries in the workbook are documents - orders, instructions of the head. Records of transferring to another job and of incentives must be made no later than 6 days after the publication of an official document (order or instruction). A record of dismissal is always made on the day of dismissal from work. An employee must be familiarized with each entry made.

If there is no such notice, the employer may be punished for delaying the issuance of the work book in the form of a fine or will be obliged to pay the employee unearned earnings for the days of delay (article 234 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).
