Every household today has household cleaning products, and many housewives have no idea how to do without them. However, many forget that they contain a lot of components that pose a danger to human health. This is especially true when it comes to dishwashing detergents, since even with extremely thorough rinsing on plates, cups, forks, knives and other cutlery, a film containing harmful substances always remains . But our grandmothers managed a few decades ago without any chemical gels with bright colors and a strong smell of flowers, fruits or with the aroma of morning freshness!
If you care about the health of your loved ones, then you will probably be interested to know how to prepare an effective and inexpensive dishwashing detergent with your own hands.

In antiquity, liquor was used to remove fat from the surface of pottery, which is a saturated solution of ash. This was probably the first dishwashing liquid. With their own hands they also made a washcloth in the form of a skein of fresh stalks of nettle or hemp leaves.
In Europe, it was popular to use algae for the same purpose, and to remove the remains of burnt food they used brick chips or fine sand. Later they began to wash dishes with a soap solution or rinse with hot potato broth, and plaque from the surface of porcelain and earthenware was removed with soda. As for the silver cutlery, they were carefully rubbed with chalk to achieve a perfect shine.
Mustard powder
One of the easiest and cheapest ways to wash grease from the surface of plates, cups, spoons and pans is dry mustard. It is sold in any store and perfectly cleans dishes.
