Adult career

The debut of a young athlete in adult tennis took place in 2004. In her first match, Dominica won. The following season, the Slovak tennis player was able to reach the first finals in adult tennis. At the ITF tournament in Rabat, Dominica lost to her compatriot in two sets. In mid-2005, Dominica is in the world ranking, occupying 555 line. And at the end of the summer, she won the ITF tournament in Amaranti, winning the first title in her career.

Next season, at the WTA version tournaments, the Slovak tennis player successfully passes qualification rounds. And at the ITF tournament in Saint-Georges, Dominica reached the final, however, she lost to the Italian Alberta Brianti in two sets. Two more finals at tournaments in Rimini and Charlottesville were also lost. By mid-autumn, the Slovak tennis player took the second title in adult tennis, winning the ITF tournament in Bratislava.

The next two seasons, Dominica is unstable, alternating wins with defeats. Only in 2007, a young athlete was able for the first time in her career to qualify for the Grand Slam tournament. In the first round, Dominica was defeated by the Russian woman Alla Kudryavtseva.

The first serious success came in 2008, when the Slovak tennis player made it to two finals at once at the WTA tournaments in Montreal and Amelia Island. However, in both cases, Dominica lost, being content only in second place. At the end of the season, the Slovak athlete made her debut in the top twenty of the world ranking.

The following season, at the Grand Slam tournament in France, the Slovak tennis player was able to surprise many, reaching the semi-final stage of the competition.

For 2010, the athlete was not able to show decent results, dropping in the ranking by four lines.

Already in the next game season, Dominica won the first WTA title. In the Moscow tournament, she was able to defeat the Estonian Kaya Kanepi in the final part of the tournament. In the same year, Dominika reached the finals at the tournament in Linz, but was defeated by Petra Kvitova. And at Wimbledon, a young tennis player made it to the quarterfinals. As a result, at the end of the season Dominica is located on the 18th line of the world ranking.

Over the next three seasons, Dominica won 3 more titles: in Carlsbad in 2012, Stanford in 2013 and Acapulco in 2014. In early 2014, a Slovak tennis player made it to the finals at the Australia Open Grand Slam tournament.

The peak of his career came in 2016. In mid-spring, Dominika won the Polish tournament in Katowice, and two months later the grass tournament in Eastbourne. However, success awaited her in the second part of the season. At Wimbledon, the Slovak tennis player managed to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament. In mid-October, she won the competition in Linz, which allowed her to go to the Final Tournament in Singapore at the end of the season. The most amazing thing is that the Slovak was not the favorite of the Final tournament, she hardly left the group, losing the first two matches. In the last match, the Slovak had practically no chance to leave the group, however, the victory over Romanian Simone Halep allowed Dominica to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. In the final, the Slovakian took revenge from the German Angelica Kerber, who beat Dominica in the first match of the group stage, thereby gaining the first and last victory in the Final tournament.

The last two seasons in tennis, Dominika Tsibulkova spent unsuccessfully. After a successful season in 2016, the Slovakian fell 21 lines in the ranking by next year.
