Features of printing on t-shirts

At the present time, it is difficult to find an original and at the same time useful gift for both a loved one and a friend. Despite a fairly wide selection of presentations, one of the most interesting options is a T-shirt with an image. As a picture, they often use a photo of the future owner of the gift or an original statement, and for children - their favorite cartoon characters.

Thanks to modern achievements, there is a special machine for printing on t-shirts. Depending on the technology used, there are several ways to apply images to a T-shirt:

- printing on a special textile printer. The essence of this method is to place the print object on a special movable table, which goes into the printer. Inside the printer, all the work is done: drawing, fixing paint. With this technology, the highest quality is achieved using white t-shirts. The advantages of this type include: quick preparation for printing, high resolution, the ability to apply both drawing and inscriptions. The disadvantages are: high cost, it takes a long time to print;

- printing using intermediate media. This method is based on two options: sublimation printing technology and magic touch. The essence of the first: the pattern is applied to the paper with special ink, which, when exposed to temperature, is transferred to the fabric by pressing. With this technology, repainting of threads is performed. The second technology consists in drawing on a special film that is glued onto a T-shirt using a thermal press. The ideal material for this method is cotton. The only limitation of this method is not suitable for polyester t-shirts;

- decal. It is a process of sticking multi-colored pieces of film of the desired size. The advantage of this technology is a wide selection of the material used and its color. Minus - a lot of labor;

- thermal transfer. Printing technology is based on the silk screen printing method. Transferring the picture from special paper to the fabric is carried out using a thermal press or iron. Advantages: a wide range of colors is used, suitable for any type of fabric, speed, low cost. Disadvantages - this is a long preparation, inability to apply variable information;

silk-screen printing on fabric. The bottom line: patterns are applied to the fabric using special stencils. Advantages: image stability, speed, low cost, the use of special effects. The disadvantages are similar to the previous technology.

Thus, the choice of the method and technology for applying the image on a T-shirt depends on the speed, quality, quantity, material and cost.
