Charity fund "Aureya" - real help or fraud?

Today, helping someone who needs it is the holy mission of each of us. In our country there lives a huge number of disabled people, old people, seriously ill people who have no one to count on in principle. And in this regard, charitable foundations of Russia are specially created to solve this problem. They seek and raise money to provide specific targeted assistance. But the above organizations do this solely at no cost, because the point of charity lies in the fact that selflessly help the afflicted. However, not everyone understands the true meaning of the word "charity." Fraudulent structures appeared on the market that, under a plausible pretext, simply profit from ordinary people who are often ready to give up the latter to help a person. And, as evidenced by the reviews, one of the representatives of such "unscrupulous" organizations is the Aureya charity foundation.

Aurea Charity Foundation

His business reputation has been seriously tarnished, and there are reasons for this.

What is this structure?

It is known that the Aureya charity foundation (head office) is located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and it is also registered there. This non-profit structure began operations in 2006. Aurea positions itself as a charity and advocates with pathetic slogans: “We want to change the world!” Our goal is to help everyone in need! The priority in our work is children in distress! ” Well, who is against such good goals and undertakings?

The fact is clear

But it is embarrassing that the Aureya charity foundation is officially established in the Krasnoyarsk region, provides assistance to people with disabilities from St. Petersburg, and collects funds in Saratov.

Charity funds of Russia

Today, working activists of the foundation can be found in various geographical locations in Russia. Of course, the law does not prohibit registering a company in one region and working in another. But for this, the procedure should be followed - to open an official representative office and register it with the appropriate authority. It is here that the Aureya charity foundation violates legal norms, since it does not open legal branches in the regions.

Capital of the Southern Federal District

Not so long ago, activists of a charity appeared in Rostov-on-Don. Young boys and girls, dressed in yellow cloaks over their clothes and “armed” with small drawers for money, talked briskly with passers-by and asked them not to remain indifferent to those who need help. But, as it turned out, in practice it’s hard enough to figure out whether the money will go for a good cause or if they will settle in the pockets of dishonest dealers.

Check

Naturally, the activists of the organization quickly came to the attention of the local press.

Aurea charitable foundation reviews

Law enforcement officers and volunteers of the Glavpolit political discussion club joined her. All of them were interested in the question: “Are the Aureya Charitable Fund (Rostov-on-Don) working legally?” An audit was carried out, and it turned out that the young workers of the nonprofit organization did not reach the age of majority, which in itself is a violation of the Labor Code. Moreover, they received 20% of the collected funds for their work, and their "superiors" immediately warned that they should call themselves volunteers and tell others that they work for free.

The office, which was rented by Aureya in the capital of the Southern Federal District, also raised many questions. Its premises very vaguely resembled a branch of a charity organization: in the corner a bunch of boxes were piled up where money was accumulated, and in public. In "normal" funds, money is spent on collection, finances in the boxes are considered in the presence of a commission, and then they are transferred to the fund's cash desk. But no one was going to follow accounting procedures at Aurea.

All violations were reported to the prosecution authorities, which began a thorough examination of the above charitable foundation.

City on the Neva

Public resonance was also caused by the appearance of activists from a non-profit structure in the northern capital. There was even organized a round table "Problems of countering fraud in the field of charity." It was initiated by the Good Peter Foundation. Its representatives made a report on the results of the activities of the fraudulent structure. On the “Aurei” Internet portal, in the “Reports” column, you can see information that the action has ended; we managed to collect more than 900 thousand rubles. However, it is not indicated who is specifically involved in the fundraising, for what purpose they were spent, which medical facilities and whom they treated.

Aureya - a charitable foundation (St. Petersburg) has also become an object of attention from law enforcement agencies.

Aurea Charity Foundation Scam

The chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city on the Neva was seriously concerned that fraudsters use the work of minors for their own selfish purposes. Representatives of the power department wrote a letter to the city hall so that officials connected to the problem.

Ural

The fact that Aureya is a charitable foundation in which fraud flourishes day by day was learned by the “sharks of the pen” from Yekaterinburg. To bring criminals to clean water, they conducted their own independent investigation. They found out that almost three quarters of the funds raised are spent by the management of the fund on taxes and salaries to employees (naturally, not ordinary). But the Yekaterinburg Internet resource managed to find out the true meaning of the work of "Aurea". After reading the attractive advertising of the fund, mothers and fathers of seriously ill children begin to collect a set of documents for fraudsters, which includes contact information, the patient’s diagnosis and related medical documents. Then the parents wait for the promised money. Indeed, in some cases they are waiting for them, the long-awaited operation is being done.

Aurea Charity Foundation St. Petersburg

But the essence is different: scammers continue to raise money for a child who has already been assisted.

Penza

Penza also heard about what methods Aurea uses — a charitable foundation. Reviews about this non-profit structure are mostly unflattering and negative. Employees of a fraudulent organization have been working in this hilly city for more than a year, and they have already covered almost all areas. At first, the residents reacted with understanding to the work of young activists (which can be more noble than helping seriously ill children). But after some time, the public began to raise doubts as to whether the activists were actually doing a good deed. Is the Aureya Charity Fund (Penza) legal? Oleg Sharipkov (Executive Director of the Civil Union Regional Public Charitable Fund) was one of the first to ask these questions. He became aware that an organization registered in a small village in the Krasnoyarsk Territory does not have an official representative office in his native Penza.

All work work ...

In addition, Oleg was embarrassed by another fact, which was already mentioned above. Why does the employer represented by Aurea hire people who are under 18? No charitable foundations in Russia use such practices, which are a priori illegal.

Sharipkov is also embarrassed by the fact that his unfortunate “colleagues” in every possible way avoid communication with representatives of the media and literally shy away from cameras. This behavior, to put it mildly, seems strange. What are you to hide and what are you afraid of if you are doing a good deed? On the contrary, the activist must be in sight in order to attract maximum attention to the mission that he is fulfilling. Nevertheless, one young man working at Aurea revealed some secrets about his work. In particular, he said that he was paid at the end of each shift, the duration of which is 3-4 hours. An activist earns about 250-300 rubles a day. If you take only one Penza, then the city has about 30 volunteers.

A rhetorical question

Despite all the problems of the situation, it turned out that the Aureya charity fund in exceptional cases really helps people. In particular, financial assistance for treatment was received by children suffering from epilepsy and patients with cerebral palsy. And even when one of the boys urgently needed a wheelchair, it was purchased by Aurea activists. So, the leadership of this charitable foundation still has a drop of conscience. But this does not relieve him of all responsibility. Only a small part of the money raised is spent on good deeds. And where are the rest spent? Assuming quite easily.
