Nail fashion 2012: magnetic nail polish and craquelure

No expensive clothes and makeup can save a girl if she has well-groomed hands. And on the contrary, beautiful manicure will decorate even the most modest girl. However, in the modern world, subject to fashion, it’s not enough just to have a beautiful manicure, you also need to keep pace with the latest trends. And there is no doubt that nail art has its own fashion trends: why are there only recently appeared magnetic nail polish and craquelure.

So, what do fashion trends in the field of manicure promise us?

In fashion nails, having an average length and oval, or almond-shaped, which indicate a return to naturalness. Also short practical nails remain in fashion.

The French classic, as well as the French, combining bright and contrasting colors, for example, white with red or black, blue and gold, etc., still does not go out of fashion. The so-called moon manicure is in fashion . It is done as follows: at the very base of the nail, a stripe in the form of a crescent is drawn, and this stripe should be a bright color: blue, red, violet. And the rest of the nail is covered with less catchy varnish: peach, white, beige.

Even in the current season, such a novelty as a stretch manicure is in fashion. To create it, you need some skill, because you have to "stretch" the color from dark to light and from finger to finger. The ability to combine colors, combining warm shades with warm ones, and cold ones only with cold ones will come in handy here.

In fashion today, these legs are what were previously considered a sign of bad taste: short and always made up with bright varnish. Red, light green, yellow and other saturated colors are used, and the peak of fashion is bright blue. However, for those who like calmer shades, 2012 has a little salvation in store: gold.

Magnetic and cracking varnishes, which have come into fashion recently, give a special charm to manicure this season.

Magnetic nail polish was invented by Nails Inc. (Great Britain). They called it Magnetic Attraction, which means "magnetic attraction." This company released magnetic nail polish in just three shades: purple, gray and gold. In the application for varnish there are special nozzles built right into the bottle cap. They contain a magnet, with the help of which, in fact, the relief of the manicure is formed.

Of course, such a varnish is not cheap, but domestic fashionistas should not worry - in the Russian market you can already find magnetic varnishes from many other manufacturers at a very reasonable price. Among them are magnetic varnish pupa, ViDeSAM, Lancome, Dance Legend and others. And the company LCN went even further by making special magnets that allow you to create a variety of patterns on the nail.

Due to the appearance of magnetic varnish for women, it became possible at home to create a manicure of a level that was previously only available in the salon. The magnificent holographic effect and metallic shades allow you to create real masterpieces on your nails. Sometimes, with the right selection of shades, it seems that the nails are covered with a stone, for example, a tiger eye.

How to use magnetic nail polish

On fat-free nails, apply the base under the varnish. Then in two layers we cover them with magnetic varnish (for maximum effect, the layer should turn out to be sufficiently dense). Without waiting for the varnish to dry, we apply a magnet to the top of the cuticle of each nail located in the varnish cover (for about 10-15 seconds), trying to prevent it from touching the varnish. In order to keep the varnish better, after it dries, cover it with a special coating. What is noteworthy, it is strictly forbidden to cover such a varnish with a fixing agent.

Another noteworthy novelty is cracking varnish (if right, then craquelure). Its feature is that when applied to a nail or other varnish, it spreads, creating cracks and exposing the base. Craquelure is divided into 2 types depending on what cracks it forms: small or large.

Using craquelure is quite simple. You need to choose a base that contrasts with cracking varnish (for example, red for gold craquelure or black for silver), apply it, wait until it dries. Then, cracking varnish is applied on top . The thicker the layer, the wider the cracks. After drying, the manicure should be fixed.
