Study and work
Leontyev Andrey was born in Moscow in 1969. Father - Igor Alekseevich - is an aviation engineer, and mother - Carmen Vieska - is a Spanish language teacher. From an early age, the boy was interested in aviation and automotive technology. In high school, Andrei went to the circle of a young motorist and was engaged in karting.
In 1985, the young man graduated from high school and applied to MGIMO at the Faculty of Journalism. Leontyev began to work during his studies, both in the central ("Abroad", "Izvestia"), and in regional newspapers. Andrei graduated from the institute in 1991, just during the dramatic events in the history of Russia. Leontyev did not want to collaborate with the media, which have a radical position on both one and the other. Therefore, the young man decided to change his profession, taking up entrepreneurial activities in the field of advertising and real estate.
TV
Leontiev Andrey returned to journalism in 1992, when the first specialized program “Auto Show” appeared on domestic TV. The young man gladly joined the newborn team, which was assembled by the famous TV presenter and producer Nikolai Petrov. New projects
In 1996, Leontyev Andrey became the chief editor of the program "Auto Show". In parallel, he was engaged in another project that was organized by Aqua Vita, the production company of Nikolai Petrov. It was "Survival Race", and Leontiev became not only the host of the program, but also its direct participant. At the same time, Andrei worked for Radio 7 (led the morning broadcast and led the information service), made a car show on RTR and worked in the announcer department of Delovaya Rossiya. Own channel
In 2002, Leontyev thought about creating his own project. The journalist began to develop the concept of a satellite and cable channel around the clock, specializing in motor topics. The new Auto Plus channel aired on September 5, 2006. Andrew is fully committed to this project.
LAV Productions
In 2010, Leontiev had serious disagreements with the leadership of Red Media about the organization of production and ways to develop the channel. Therefore, the journalist had to leave the project he created. Almost the whole team left with Andrei. Soon, the hero of this article, along with a school friend Alexander Vorobyov, opened his own company LAV Productions. The company immediately began producing transmissions for other satellite and federal channels. The Autonews program was released on RBC-TV, “Automotive Mood” on TVC, and “Weekend on Wheels” on “Zvezda”.
After some time, Andrei Leontyev, whose biography is presented above, received an offer from Red Media to resume cooperation. The journalist gladly received him. At the moment, LAV Productions makes eighteen television programs on various topics.
