One can often hear the question of why, when kissing, one closes one's eyes or why, when kissing one closes one's eyes?
The question is not new, but it is almost impossible to get a definite answer to it, yes, and by no means all turn a blind eye during a kiss. One of the versions why they close their eyes when kissing is a habit or a physiological reflex. Probably, it is with closed eyes that the kiss is sweeter and more emotional. Some people believe that they have no right to close their eyes when kissing, because they must control the situation in everything, even during a kiss. Such an attitude, as a rule, is for people with an active lifestyle who have high demands on all aspects of life and their manifestations, as well as on people around them and themselves. The other part of people prefers to surrender completely to their own feelings, to go under the power of emotions, so they consider it necessary to close their eyes with a kiss. Sometimes the same person in different circumstances kisses with his eyes open, and sometimes with his eyes closed.
So, all the same, why when they kiss they close their eyes?
This can be explained in terms of physiology. When a kiss is closed, the eyes are closed because the brain gives such a command in order to remove external stimuli that interfere with receiving positive emotions from the kiss. From the point of view of physiology, the most important function of the human body is the ability to continue its kind, and kisses precede and favor it. Therefore, the brain gives a command to disconnect from reality. Moreover, during a sensual kiss, hearing loss occurs, probably for the same reason.
We turn to specialists.
The Singapore professor tried to formulate the answer to the question - why when they kiss they close their eyes? In his opinion, there are three reasons for this. One of them, in his words, is an instinctive manifestation. The eyelids spontaneously fall, protecting the human mind from an overabundance of emotions. This is due to the fact that it is at this moment that a large sensory overload appears on the brain. To remove or relieve it, our body subconsciously uses eye closure. He also suggests that we close our eyes, because we do not want to see the blurry face of our partner, because his three-dimensional image is not perceived during a passionate kiss. We can only perceive the blurred, not always pleasant for perception, contours of the face of the partner, and instinctively close our eyes in order to avoid this. And another option, according to the professor, why when they kiss they close their eyes - this is banal human modesty. Closing our eyes during a kiss, we do not put our partner in cramped circumstances, we do not force him to control the reflection of his emotions on the facial expressions.
There are many answers to the question why, when they kiss, they close their eyes. Each of us formulates it in our own way. But, initially, talking about kisses, we think about romance and sensuality. Psychologists recommend not only often kissing with a partner, but also spying on him during a kiss, because, precisely then, there is an opportunity, by his behavior, to learn a lot about him. At the same time, psychologists insist that they kiss with closed eyes, as a rule, romantic and inconstant natures. It is their nature to completely disconnect from reality, being carried away into the world of emotions and feelings, without thinking about the future. According to statistics, those who kiss without closing their eyes are a minority, namely, only 10%. Psychologists endow such people with the following qualities: reliability and authoritarianism, since they can always and in any circumstances control the situation, and therefore, respond at the slightest change.
There are many allegations, and each of them is somewhat controversial. One thing is invariable: kissing is as important to us as eating or breathing. You need to kiss a lot and often, because it is a powerful natural antidepressant.
