Some kind of disaster happens everywhere, and these terrible cases take away thousands of innocent lives, leave them homeless, make them wander and die of hunger. Many have heard from the news how hundreds and thousands of incidents happen in different parts of Russia: murders, robberies, extortion, accidents. But the most dangerous element is a fire. In some cases, nature or simple accident, negligence or ignorance of safety rules is to blame. In other cases, this is a deliberate arson (the motive is always associated with money or personal insult). In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, fires are not rare.
Historical fact
Almost four hundred years ago, the city of Krasnoyarsk was founded. Almost all the houses were wooden, stone buildings were practically absent. The city was very dirty and untidy. Due to poor living conditions, dirt on the streets, unsanitary conditions, people were often sick. Various diseases wandered around the city and claimed the lives of citizens.
Also, during fires in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, there was no good fire system and experienced workers. Attempts to create a full-fledged fire station were unsuccessful. The funds were not enough to acquire effective equipment and build a building for the fire department.
In 1881, in the winter in Krasnoyarsk, the most destructive fire broke out in all its existence. As eyewitnesses said:
The fire spread very quickly. At that time, a strong wind was blowing, and burning coals flew from house to house, from roof to roof. It was enough for a small coal to make a wooden structure flare up like a haystack. The flames were so great that they had to go around the field.
Almost half of the city’s wooden buildings were destroyed by fire. Even the shore of the frozen Yenisei thawed. A large number of residents were left without housing, many died in the fire, while others lost loved ones. The townspeople helped each other as they could.
Emperor Alexander III himself responded to the Krasnoyarsk fire and allocated 10,000 rubles. for recovery. Only after a couple of decades, the fire system was established.
Tragically killed people in a nursing home
In the Pokrovka microdistrict of the city of Krasnoyarsk, a private nursing home was ignited. This event shocked all residents of the village. During the fire, many eyewitnesses gathered. It all happened in the late summer of 2017.
According to experts, the fire started near the hedge and then spread to the building itself. About 250 sq. m was engulfed in fire. More than 20 units of specialized equipment were involved in extinguishing, about 50 employees of other organizations helped, and another 16 units of other special equipment.
According to the latest data, a version of the fire in the Krasnoyarsk nursing home has been put forward - this is non-compliance with safety rules. A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the incident, and an investigation is ongoing. Due to non-compliance with standards and neglect of fire safety rules, the organizers of a private institution will be responsible.
More than 30 people were evacuated. Also, there were casualties; about three people died in the fire. Two suffocated, the third disappeared, but the search did not end there.
The family died in the smoke
Each city has its own story, its own events and tragedies. Each incident in one way or another affects the city and creates it in a new way. In fact, it is very difficult to survive when the fortress, which was built with great difficulty and care, simply destroyed the fire. The worst thing is the death of people. One of these events was a fire in the Krasnoyarsk apartment building. On January 1 of this year at 23 o’clock a big house caught fire. Rescuers evacuated 30 people, but the three failed to escape. A 42-year-old man, his wife and their 10-year-old daughter remained in their apartment. Adults died on the spot. Due to a lack of oxygen and the ingress of large amounts of caustic smoke into the respiratory tract. The girl managed to get out of the building. In an unconscious state, she was taken to the intensive care unit. But soon she died.
Warehouse on fire
There are many stories about fires in Krasnoyarsk. One of the large warehouses burned and smoked throughout the entire area. A lot of equipment and firefighters, rescuers and other employees were involved.
