Over time, these figures have declined markedly. Manufacturers came to such a decision, given the tense situation in the world aimed at combating smoking and other addictions. Now the famous "Prima" is produced with 10 milligrams of tar in the smoke, and 0.5 milligrams of nicotine.
Filter cigarettes
Over all the years of its existence, a pack of Prima cigarettes has not changed much. It was still made of ordinary cardboard and had a square shape. And on the red background of the front side, the name of the product was written in white letters. A plastic film has never been used for such packaging. These rules were adopted by an association called Tabakprom. All enterprises that were not part of it did not have the right to produce cigarettes with the same name. Only after the collapse of the Union in 1994, the Prima trademark itself was completely canceled and tobacco companies received complete freedom of choice. It was then that the Liggett-Ducat company expanded the target audience of Prima fans a little and released products of this brand with a filter.
The pack began to have a characteristic appearance of the King Size format with the coat of arms depicted on the hinged top. Cigarettes were called “Our Prima” and contained: nicotine - 0.6 milligrams, tar - 8 milligrams and CO - 10 milligrams per 1 cigarette. But the company itself did not last long and soon all the rights to the popular trademark passed to the Tabakprom association, which was newly created in 1999.
