Fire safety training at the enterprise should take place in all divisions, that is, the established rules and requirements are common to all. Thus, each and every employee will not only have to familiarize themselves with the instructions, they are required to adhere to them implicitly. In order to avoid misunderstandings, all employees must leave a signature in a special journal stating that they have been trained in fire safety.
In order for the rules to be assimilated by all, including newly arrived workers, the briefing must be repeated repeatedly with a certain frequency. It is best to conduct fire safety training at least once every six months. This will help to eliminate the violation of the rules by employees, which entails disciplinary, administrative or other liability.
Only after having passed a fire safety briefing, can a new employee of the enterprise begin to carry out his duties. A huge responsibility lies on the shoulders of those who have to work with a large number of people in special rooms. Such employees should be able to organize people in emergency situations.
Fire safety briefing should be developed in accordance with not only fire safety rules, but also on the basis of regulatory and technical and other documents. Individual instructions are drawn up depending on the specifics of the fire hazard for specific buildings and premises, production processes and technological equipment that is used at the enterprise.
Fire safety briefing must cover the following issues:
rules for the maintenance of buildings, individual premises and the surrounding area;
rules for maintaining order on evacuation routes;
requirements for behavior during fire hazardous operations, an algorithm of actions for the safe operation of equipment;
the procedure and requirements for the storage or movement of substances and materials that are explosive or flammable;
information about places for smoking, rules for using open fire;
an algorithm of actions in the collection and disposal of materials of increased combustibility;
information should also be provided about which data of the control and measuring equipment (thermometers, manometers and others) are limiting; employees should be aware of the evidence that could cause an explosion or fire.
This list should also be supplemented with information on how employees should act during a fire. Fire safety briefing should include the following rules:
actions to call the fire department;
how to perform an emergency shutdown of production equipment;
actions to turn off electrical equipment;
rules for using fire extinguishing agents ;
actions for the evacuation of flammable substances, important documents, material values.
