The first spring flowers: how to draw a snowdrop

It is already mid-April in the courtyard, and spring is taking full swing: puddles on the roads, blue clouds, the baking sun and the happy faces of passers-by testify to this. With the advent of spring, everything revives: flowers, trees, and people. The first snowdrops timidly stick out their heads and look around in search of their comrades - and find them.

Beautiful flowers - snowdrops

A snowdrop usually blooms in April: it peeks out from under the snow that has already begun to melt. It blooms for a long time, three to four weeks. These amazing flowers grow in the forests, in the pine forest - at the edge of the forest or even in gardens. These flowers need moist nutrient soil, so they can often be found growing under the trees.

The snowdrop is white with small green spots on the edge of the petals. The shape of the petals makes the snowdrop look like a bell: three of the six petals are long, external, the remaining three are internal, short.

The sad fate of the first spring flowers

Snowdrops are very beautiful, for which they suffer: because of their appearance, lovers of beautiful bouquets prey on them. Snowdrops are given to dear people for spring holidays or just tear for themselves.

Few people know that these gentle, modest plants are listed in the Red Book as an endangered species - they are strictly forbidden to tear. But demand creates supply - flower shops in the spring are crammed with these flowers, and very soon, perhaps, these beautiful creatures will completely disappear from the face of the Earth.

Draw a snowdrop with a pencil in stages

Surely many lovers of drawing would like to depict a snowdrop in all its glory with their own hands. But how to do it if you don’t know how to draw at all? The answer is simple: draw a snowdrop in stages, as shown below. To do this, we need: a sheet of paper, a simple pencil and an eraser to remove excess.

First, draw a circle - the middle of the flower - and draw a slightly wavy line from it, drawing a leg with a snowdrop.

first stage

Next we finish the stem, make it visually thicker.

second phase

The next step is to draw the petals: two outer and one inner.

third stage

Next, we draw the anther of the flower inside the petal.

fourth stage

Next, we depict three leaves: two large at the base and one smaller at the top, closer to the petals. Draw a line inside each leaflet. We draw exactly the same lines in the center of two outer petals.

fifth stage

After you have almost painted a snowdrop, at the base of the snowdrop, around the petal, you can depict a puddle of water in which, supposedly, the flower grows. In the water you can draw small pebbles.

sixth stage

How to color a painted image

Right after we drew a snowdrop in pencil, let's colorize it so that it miraculously comes to life right before our eyes. To do this, we need a dark green paint for leaves, a little lighter for the stem, blue for water, white or, as in our case, soft blue for painting the petals, yellow paint for the anther of the flower (middle) .

How to draw a snowdrop, we already understood, now let's see how to paint it. It is better not to paint the flower monotonously; so that it is like a living, try to make transitions from a darker to a lighter shade. If you do not have different shades of the same color, do not rush to get upset. This effect can be achieved with ordinary water: the more water you add to the paint, the brighter it will become. Again, white paint may come to the rescue.

painted snowdrop

That's all, our drawing is ready! By the way, very soon April 19 is World Snowdrop Day. This is exactly the time when snowdrops are blooming in England. These are not just beautiful flowers pleasing to the eye. They warm our soul with memories: each of us is familiar with these beautiful flowers from childhood. Remember, they read to us the tale of Samuil Yakovlevich Marshak β€œTwelve months” in which these flowers appear: having gone to the forest in the middle of winter, the main character met twelve months in the meadow, which gave the girl the opportunity to pick up a basket of flowers.

From a very young age, we are instilled with love for nature, for the world around us and for people around us. In order to please mom on March 8 or any other day, it is not necessary to pick flowers. Better draw a snowdrop, as shown in this article. Such a souvenir will be even nicer, because the best gift is one that is made by one's own hands.
