Castration Men

Clotting, and this synonym for the Latin word castratio, is castration, which implies the complete cessation or suppression of the female or male genital glands in any way that cannot be restored back. Castration of men is done either for cult purposes or for medical purposes. In the modern world, this is rarely practiced.

Castration of men can be carried out using different methods, one of which is the impact on the gonads of multiple x-ray irradiation. It is also produced when exposed to certain chemical or hormonal substances. Castration of men with surgical intervention is often practiced, namely, by surgical removal of the gonads directly.

This condition can also be caused by trauma or infection, which is always accompanied by the fact that the tissues of the gonads are subject to complete destruction. There are times when castration remains the only option in the complex treatment of a number of serious diseases. But for this kind of surgery, extremely strict medical indications are required. And its implementation occurs only with hormonal or radiation therapy.

Thus, castration of men is carried out by removing the testicles themselves, and is called orchiectomy. It is carried out if malignant tumors are found in the testicles or in the prostate gland. Surgical castration in women is also carried out by the surgical method by removing her ovaries when malignant tumors are detected in them. And in those cases when a cancer of the breast or cervix is โ€‹โ€‹diagnosed, and even with some other ailments. Female castration is called ovariectomy.

Radiation castration is prescribed somewhat less frequently. It implies the repeated action of ionizing radiation directly on the ovaries, which subsequently leads to the cessation of their functions. Men who are contraindicated in any type of castration described above (radiation or surgery) are generally prescribed a course of treatment with hormonal drugs.

This type of therapy can also be prescribed to women who are in the period of menopause or menopause.

Partial castration is distinguished when, as a result of an operation, one of the functions (either endocrine or generative) is terminated. With full castration, both of these functions cease to act. But if, for example, when receiving a certain trauma, the ability of the sex gland to perform any one of them is lost, then this condition is not considered as castration. Mainly because the iron that still remains is able to completely or at least partially compensate for the performance of the missing function.

Castration, namely its clinical manifestations, very much depends on at what age its implementation was carried out. Thus, castration of boys even in childhood in all cases leads to the most enormous and sometimes irreversible disturbances in the activity of their body. But castration to an adult woman or a man who already had experience of sexual relations before in their life will not bring such terrible consequences.

Of course, you canโ€™t do without troubles. But this will not lead to a dysfunction of sexual functions, although it will entail a number of certain vegetative-vascular and metabolic disorders, as well as some other problems. Castration of men, which in some cases has very pronounced clinical manifestations, is described by eunuchoidism.

Several decades ago, chemical castration was developed as an alternative to surgical castration, which is much more humane and much safer not only for human health, but also for his psyche.

They use it mainly in cases where a man, with his sexual preferences, carries a danger to others. Such treatment involves the suppression of direct sexual function through the use of certain medications. But this process is completely reversible. Which means, if a man stops taking medications that suppress his libido, then with time he will return to sex drive, and an erection, and testosterone levels will rise.
